Does it really matter that he loved her??!! He ruined lives! He had GOOD people killed! He almost killed her!! WAKE UP WOMEN!!! Money and looks don't justify a sociopath!
Tony's entire staff should go down with him. Could you imagine the guilt they should feel watching an innocent women be held captive beaten and raped? Really? REALLY? This is not a love story. This is a horror story.

I have just finished reading this and am totally speechless and reeling on what I just read. I agree with you Jen, I was still, even after all the revelations where out, wanting him to end up with Claire, then I was concerned about why I was wanting that, and worried about my own insanity...lol. I still want him to at least admit that he for sure really did love(s) Claire. He for sure needs some "Consequences" handed out to him.

Tony Rawlings needs to find himself and beg for forgiveness. He had a good woman in Claire and he abused it. I dont think he's ever been as happy as when they were together. P.s in my review I forgot to mention my shock at his age, I wasnt expecting that. Its especially sad that he's held onto that grudge for so long, he must be bitter inside.

He needs to be exorcised demons removed so that he can be a man a woman would love to be with.

Wow! Excellent question! I'm a Tony-lover not a Tony-hater, so I will be glued to my seat awaiting the TRUTH of what happens! My friend is a Tony-hater, so it will be interesting to see who is happiest after reading TRUTH!

I am happy to hear that there will be a sequel to Consequences. I finished it last night about 2AM & then couldn't fall asleep because I kept thinking about it. There's a part of me that wants Tony's butt served on a platter. He needs to suffer his own consequences for his actions. He ruined people's lives that personally had nothing to do w/ his grandfather's misfortunes. Perhaps he should spend some time in jail.

BUT, I keep wondering whether or not Tony really loved (or still loves) Claire. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but part of me likes Tony and wants Tony & Claire to have their 'happy ever after'...only after he's lost his Company, his house, and the life he built, has a lot of therapy, and grovels for forgiveness.

I'll be anxiously waiting to see where you take the story. Nicely done!

I think "turnabout" is fair play. A book where Tony gets consequences for all prior and present actions would be great!

I am confused - the guy murdered so many people I lost count, raped and beat Claire repeatedly, ruined a number of lives and some of you want him to have an HEA? You obviously got something different out of the ending than I did.

I'd like to see him in federal prison for the rest of his misbegotten life. Because for someone like him, that is a worse punishment than death.

When does the second book come out?

I personally hope he rots in prison, and a really big tattooed gang banger named Horse wants him for his girlfriend. I cannot see a way for there to be a HEA for Tony and Claire. He had her parents and grandparents killed for crying out loud. I don't know whether to believe he really had feelings for her, or if it was just an act to manipulate her. There were times when I really thought he was redeemable, but after finishing the book, I don't think he is. I do hope he realizes what he has lost by being consumed by revenge. At this point, I think Claire's HEA will be for Tony to end up living the life he had planned for her. If the author can pull a believable HEA out of it for Claire and Tony....well, that will be amazing.

Tony needs to be publicly exposed for the fraud that he is. All of his "appearances" need to be made in an orange jumpsuit. That Patricia needs a smack as well!

I'm not sure how you could make an HEA work after everything that happened, but that's what I'd like! If anyone can make it work, I figure that having made me like him despite it all, it's probably you!

(Though NOT averse to him experiencing some consequences of his own along the way!!)

i was hoping that Claire would be pregnant. then what would tony do then? would he kill the child because he was told to destroy the lifes of everyones extended families. would he kill his own child? then i was hoping he would go to prison and claire and her/his child would inherit all his wealth while he festers in prison. despite his depravity i was hoping that he would change. has he destroyed Sophie too?

I feel as if something vital's been sucked out of me and there's a perpetual knot at the pit of my stomach after reading this book. Why did I subject myself to this? Now, I NEED to put myself through more of this in order to find some closure. So yes, I want the tables turned on Tony. I think he's a possessive sadist, who feels he has Claire safely tucked away out of reach of everyone else and ample time to go about his business with Sophia. So I want deus ex machina to happen. Another guy. In the same calibre. And I want Tony reduced to begging and on his knees without any hope for redemption. Actually prison or poverty won't work for him he needs to maintain his station in life fully knowing none of it even matters or would ever help him get what he NEEDS more than anything else. And die a puny wrinkled lonely death.

We grow up to be who we are , with the choices we make. I also believe our parents , grandparents and other influential people around us mold us into who we are. Tony, has both but has a good heart and made promises he wants to keep(I think). I can see why he protected Marie ......due to his father's action and promise to hs grandfather. I want to see a HEA for Tony because I truly believe He did this without ever knowing what real love is and Claire gives him that. I heart this book and A. Rawlings . Please I hope ,convicted is Marie being convicted since I think he is the mastermind behind the vengeance , since the lost of her baby....... Please release book sooner.
