Adriana Found any first in series YA books coming out in 2013? I want to know them but let it be ones that you are really excited for!

Mind Games (Mind Games, #1) by Kiersten White
Kiersten White is making a new series! White wrote Paranormalcy for those who don't know. This is going to be epic!

Adriana Splintered by A.G. Howard
Would die to get this book! It's so gorgeous and IT'S ABOUT ALICE IN WONDERLAND!!!

Adriana I seriously want your library. It always has great books that have already come out. There seems to be an Alice theme going on. I wouldn't mind seeing more.

Oh my god, Sara. I do exactly the same thing when considering a move! Well, I did the one time I was considering a move. haha. We didn't move, not directly because of the library system, but it did have an impact on the decision. :P

Adriana Hahaha! I feel like I need to do the same thing before I move. It's really important! It's where I get most of my books. Also, the book limit is important too.

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) There's actually no book limit at my library. One is allowed to check out as many books as one can carry. I've borrowed at least a dozen books on more than one occasion.

message 8: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Are you sure? Because you do read continuously all the time so I can see where you don't reach the 50 mark. If so then that's great.

message 9: by Josiah (new)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) The "50 mark"? I don't think I've ever heard of that. Is fifty books the limit that can be checked out by one patron at a time at most libraries?

message 10: by Nathan (new)

Nathan (nthnlwly) I don't know... Our limit is 99.

message 11: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Mine's 50 ):
It's not fair too! I live in Miami! There are plenty of books. But there really should be a limit because I lose enough money already. Well, not anymore because I've downsized my library reads.

How many books would you say you have at one time?

Do you live in a heavily populated area Trevor?

Nathan (nthnlwly) I'm in Calgary, Canada. We've got over a million people and 18 library branches.

I have had as many as 40 out at once, but most were picture books. And I never get around to reading them all before they are due, so I have no idea why I keep taking more out! haha

message 13: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I have 2.5 million. :/
You read picture books? Awesome. Like what?

message 14: by Nathan (last edited Oct 07, 2012 12:07PM) (new)

Nathan (nthnlwly) All kinds. Whatever catches my eye when I'm at work, I'll take home and read. I was reading with a group for a while but it's easier just to do my own thing instead. Here's my bookshelf of picture books I've read: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...

Adriana Cute! I don't really get children's books out of the library. I've done it like twice but I feel someone's going to look at me strangely and anyways the books in the system are just okay. You should look up Peter H. Reynolds. He's a great illustrator and his book sound and are beautiful.

message 16: by Nathan (new)

Nathan (nthnlwly) haha, a couple of my workmates look at me funny but I just laugh it off. They assume I'm getting them for a younger sibling, and I let them do that. lol. Peter Reynolds sounds familiar, I'll look him up for sure.

message 17: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Yeah, I probably need to let it slide. Don't you work at a library? Why would they care?

message 18: by Nathan (new)

Nathan (nthnlwly) They don't care, they just think it's odd I guess. The librarians in charge of children's story time don't look twice, they just discuss them with me and everyone else rolls their eyes at us. lol

message 19: by Adriana (new)

Adriana lol. They know the greatness that is picture books :D

message 20: by Nathan (new)

Nathan (nthnlwly) Exactly!
