It will probably be genetically modified weeds that will create the new agriculture that will supply all kinds of fake food products to replace everything from meat (yup, meat from weeds) to vegetables, fruits, grains, probably even fish. Weeds are very low maintenance, extremely hardy, grow anywhere they belong, and most importantly they are long term natural survivors. Eventually food will probably be grown in vats of recycled waste products.
Then there a the ones who are working to reduce the carbon footprint of the ordinary person by restricting the better aspects of life either by making them too expensive for the ordinary person by taking away their money, or simply removing any and all amenities from the landscape, a place where there is no need of electricity because there is nothing to plug in.
All of this carbon dioxide going into the air is not an unknown quantity, it was in fact the norm for the Cretaceous period 100 million years ago, plenty of life around, flowering plants appeared, insects, birds, dinosaurs, and small mammals. The life that really survived this period could eat dead rotting stuff just as easily as fresh live stuff. A lot of the oil, coal, and gas we are using is from this period. The largest coal deposit in North America is from the Cretaceous period.
