And inspired by this thread I finally made an earring holder. I might try something a little less rustic/more designed and try another one (I like the picture frame/fabric idea) but this is working great for now:

I use chopsticks to mark where I've planted bulbs and perennials that come back every year. It helps when I want to place new plants in the bed in spring before the old plants have emerged. Speaking of pests like moles, I've seen signs of an armadillo in my yard, and I live in town where you never see armadillos. They really make a mess!
