Julie | 465 comments HEHEHE!! I am cracking UP!

Wow, I'm quite impressed with how much you all read! I'm actually quite jealous!

I have to admit, I love me some Twilight...I may have read it two, or three times myself. *Gulps at the admission* Sometime one needs fun books to read!

Julie | 465 comments Rayana, I meant to ask, does this guy ever make any progress? You should bust into class one day with the book, then ask him about his thoughts on chapter 4. I think it may be worth the reaction. ;)

message 57: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Whew, I got about 400 words of Joy V. done, and another 100 words or so of school newsletters!

I'm slowing down on Joy V. because I'm closing in on those dots I've been connecting between two parts. I'm also finally getting to a point where Joy gets something important...I know what it is, but don't know all the details yet, and it's stressing me out a bit. I know I can always write something and change it later.

Also, I'm thinking about going back and adding a minor antagonist at Joy's workplace. Someone who isn't seriously bad, but just a pest.

Anyway,

total word count today: ~500!
goal: MET!

I also got some much needed reading in today! Whoo hoo!

It's going to be another doozie of a week, I'm going to readjust my goals to 50 words a day just for this week.

I suffer from it as well, or I should say my writing suffers from it as well :)

Julie | 465 comments Yikes...it's been another long day, but I squeezed in some writing- sans thinking- and exceeded my goal!

Words: 145
goal:met!

Dee, sorry, I borrowed Edward. He was a big help with grading my big stack of papers. ;) I sent him back to your cube with the pocket muse...I hope they'll get along! (pocket muse can be feisty!)

Time for bed! *turns off lights*

Good Morning Julie,

Just thought I would let you know that Edward and your pocket muse got along very nicely last night. Edward said that you muse reminded him of the place his heart used to be.

Oh, and he said he had fun "grading papers* {insert big eye-roll here} ;]

Wishing you a most wondeful writing day.

message 67: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Good Morning Dee, and Toli! *rubs eyes*

Morning came too quickly! Aww, I'm so glad to know Edward and Bruno get along so well! The poor muse has been so bored with me, maybe he'll have more inspiration for me once he's had a nice little vacation!

Y'all have a wonderful writing day as well!

Hey Julie,

Morning Always comes around too early, as does night. Not enough hours in a day.

*Hands Bruno back to Julie*

He has been fed huge amounts of inspiration. So, be sure to burp him often :)

Have a most wonderful day. May it be filled with many magical moments.

Paige Miller | 4362 comments *laughs* My muse is nameless and shapeless.

message 71: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Tink, how sad that your muse has no shape or name. I shall name him Mr. Bumbles, and he shall be a bee. (Feel free to veto that idea! ;D )

So, I met my goal of 50 words last night! (Then passed out before I could post the update.)

I have more energy tonight, and I feel more determined. I'm off to write, take a dinner break, and then write some more! "You ready, Bruno?!" *he nods, brandishing his tiny pewter sword*

Thanks for the thought, but I'm terrified of bees. They don't like fairies.

Hmm.. I think... he should be... a marten! A pine marten. And his name is Pan, like Pan the god of wild things in Greek mythology. Here, let me find a picture of him.

message 76: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Tink, TOO CUTE!! Yes, a much better muse, and what a perfect name! Tink and Pan!

Dee, the plate of food for thought was just what I needed! I even have some leftovers for tonight! Thanks!!

I may adopt another muse. I've started reading "Bunnicula" to my 4th graders, and I think a vampire bunnie would be a fabulous muse. Not to mention a great companion for Bruno (I'll have to post a picture of him, he's a dashing tiny gladiator!)

*Places a carrot in the bunny-safe trap, and tip-toes out of the cube*

*wispers* I'll see y'all later, hopefully I'll catch a bunnicula.

message 77: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Hey Julie,

No need for bunnicula traps, Edward said he could help if you need to capture one :)

message 78: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Whoo hoo!! *Sees Edward sitting in my cube clutching a seemingly cute bunny* "Oh Edward, thanks so much! Bruno has a brother!" *gives Edward a large hug* "Brrr, your skin IS cold!" *Takes bunnicula from Edward*

Now, for a name...I'll have to sleep on that one!

So, I wrote 300 words tonight! I wanted to write more, but my eyelids got too heavy. I need a day off...I want to spend a day just sleeping, writing, and maybe watch a chick flick while drinking coffee...ahhhh.

I'm changing my goal this weekend to write a total of 500 words sometime this weekend. (I'm shooting a wedding Saturday (assisting) and maybe going to Dallas Sunday...I think I'll need to make sure I take my journal on Sunday...maybe I can get some writing done in the car.)

Just don't write while you are driving :)

Hey that reminds me, did you know that there are new tape recorders out there that transcribe your words into your computer?

Oh, and nice bunny by the way...
*Tosses some baby carrots into the bunny cage*

I always had love/hate feelings about shooting weddings. I love the actual shoot...but hated the "what if something goes wrong" feeling while shooting (Before digital cameras of course).

I would always worry that the flash would not work, or the film would be bad, or a million other things. Which never ever happened.

However, with digital cameras and Photoshop, I think I would LOVE shooting weddings now. You are going to have too much fun.

Glad Edward could help you out. You know where to find him if your bunny needs another bunny to keep him/her a name.

Wishing you a most productive and fun hearts and flowers day!

Julie | 465 comments Good Morning Dee, Tink, Edward, and Bunnicula! *places fresh carrots and some lettuce in cage.*

First of all, Dee, I hope you weren't effected by that plane crash in Upstate NY. I know it's a big place, but still, I couldn't help but worry when I heard the news. My thoughts and prayers are with those families that were effected by that tragedy.

Oh, yes, I won't be driving, unless I need to on Sunday. I think that device you are talking about would be wonderful! Do you use something like that? Ohhh, I'm imagining all the extra writing I could do, not being tied to a computer.... *slips into a happy reverie*

Wow, you would shoot film! That is brave, and admirable! Yes, I don't know if I'd have the guts to shoot film. Shooting weddings is nerve wracking enough. (I've only shot 2 before. ) It is helpful that I'm just assisting, it takes a lot of the pressure off of me. Do you shoot Canon or Nikon? Do you have a digital SLR? I just got a Canon 5D Mark II around Christmas, and I LOVE it!

Back to the subject of writing...I didn't get to do any last night, but I'm hoping to make up for some of that tonight, after the wedding, if I'm not too tired.

goal: not met, YET.

*turn off lights* Edward take good care of Bunnicula! (Bruno is a good photo muse, so he's in my pocket today!)

Great job Julie,

How was the wedding?

message 84: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Dee,

Thanks! It was a modest, yet elegant wedding. Concerning the photography, I hope I got shots the main photographer, and especially the couple, like. There was one point in the ceremony when a lady pointed out the flower girls with their arms around each others shoulders. I was able to get a picture focused on them, with the bride and groom blurred, and vice versa. I think those were my favorite shots. Oh, and the shots taken of all the dancing was fun too!

OH, and one of the bridesmaids looked JUST like Alice Cullen, from the movie- and how I imagined from the book! *Thinking towards Edward: "I know Edward, hard to believe!" Edward nods in recognition.*

Thanks Dee and Edward for taking such good care of Bunnicula! I hope everyone has a happy writing day.

*bringing in a handful of tiny candy hearts for Bunnicula*

I am glad that you had a great shoot. One of my favorite pre-wedding picture sessions was with a birde whose husband was a hunter. I had her all dressed in her wedding gown, holding a shotgun. I was a classic. In fact she picked it for the cover image of her bridal book :)

I bet you did a double-take when you saw the Alice Cullen clone. I hope you took her picture :)

Have a great Sunday!

message 88: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments Alright, this has been fun, but Pan and I need to get some writing done. Bye bunny and Julie!

message 89: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Dee, Roni, Tink,
Bunnicula loves all the love, attention, and goodies!! Muchas gracias!

Dee, I LOVE that shotgun idea! I'm sure that was a great picture! I like mixing two seemingly opposite things, it makes for great contrast. I once saw a picture in a bridal magazine of a bride-in her dress- floating down the river on a inner-tube! My first reaction was to cringe, of course, but then I thought....how fun!

So, I've been crazed with everything intruding upon my writing time. I had a flash of inspiration last night, but wasn't able to act upon it. I did put a lot of mental-writing efforts last night- and thats important too.

Tonight, I only wrote about 50 words...I'm going to try to make it 100 before I go to sleep.

Night! *feeds Bunnicula fresh carrots and left over Valentines candy. Bunny dances with glee*

Even 50 words is a good thing :]

Have a great week.

I'm glad you took a break, Dee! You work hard, and deserve some rest! You have a great week too!

Bunny and Bruno worked wonders today with their fab muse skills! I wrote 520 words tonight! I want to write, more but must go to bed.

message 96: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Wow, muse thievery is never to be taken lightly! I'm glad Pan was returned! *places padlock on Bunny's cage*

So, my schedule has been crazy. I had to get up early, then I was running all kinds of errands, then went home for a nap. :) (I have a point, really...) It seems that my best dreams come from afternoon naps after an early and busy morning! I had another crazy vivid dream. So, I woke up, and tried to write as much as I could remember, and make sense of. (You know how dreams always have weird elements that don't make sence.) So, after making sense of what I could, I ended up with the start of another story!

It's funny because I had been so engrossed in Joy V. that I didn't think any other ideas would come to me for a long time. It's encouraging! The Joy V. story also began from a crazy, vivid dream.

So, anyway, I started writing what I'll just call "The Scrapbook" for now. It's starting out as a mystery, and that's about as much as I have now...I don't know if it will end up taking a supernatural turn or a murder mystery turn. Don't be fooled by the title...I promise it isn't about Martha Stewart going nuts over the perfect scrapbook...though that might be interesting too.

Words: ~400 planning words + 533 intro words = ~933 words today!

WHOO HOO!

Now that is a book that I WOULD buy in a heartbeat.

I love taking a happy nappy in the middle of the day. Especially Lucid Dreaming. If I am stuck within a scene, I will often dream it through, rewinding my dreams until the action is perfect, all the details revealed.

Look forward to your new story.

Oh, and don’t be too hard on Toli. He was just desperate to get writing again. We have all known that feeling. And, he didn’t really steal Pan, he only “borrowed” Tink’s muse. But, now that he has his own muse (a spider monkey named Lefty (well Toli calls it Righty, but I think it looks more like a Lefty).

*Tosses some baby carrots to the funny bunny*

Wishing you a most wonderful day filled with amazing inspirational dreams ;]

message 99: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Oh Toli,
You energy is enviable! I'm glad you have a muse now. Righty-Lefty (Amby-for ambidextrous-y?) sure is cute! And he/she is more than welcome to play with Bunny. She only bites when provoked, just ask Edward. *Nods in agreement*

Dee, lucid dreaming sounds amazing! Is that something you have to train yourself to do, or have you always been able to do it? I find that I can become lucid in a dream, but usually it's just enough to change a terrible outcome, or to make myself wake up. I guess I should practice more.

:D
I wish everyone a fine, lucid napping, Sunday full of rest and writing...and maybe some Oscar watching.

message 100: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Wow, I just had a nice spurt of writing!

It felt nice to get back into Joy V. I think writing a bit of the new story, and realizing how far I've already gotten on Joy V, made me want to get back to it quickly before I devote too much of my brain to the new story.

I did meet one goal tonight! I finally finished connecting two parts of my story! WHOO HOO! I still have one more 'dot' to connect before I get back to advancing the plot.

Words: 557

Night! I'm off to work on my homework of lucid dreaming!

*Turns on some Lady Gaga - Poker Face on the iPod. Dances around cubicle giving Bunny some carrots. Turns off light, and dances off to get ready for bed*
