Hello all, please forgive me from coming onto this discussion topic page. I'm new to Goodreads (actually signed on a while ago just never use it and would like to) and was wondering if you could direct me to the groups that I could post my Vampire novel on? There are so many pages I don't want to post to the wrong group and you all seem to know your way around.

You're going to have to check the rules of each group. A lot have threads for authors to promote on.

I agree it mainly depends on the group. Some don't mind when authors promote openly on any thread. Others want you to at least start your own topic and some as mentioned above have special threads for promoting. One tip that I would suggest is starting your own author group if you haven't already. You could invite the profile friends, friends outside of Group Reads and also friends you have made in other groups. It also gives options when you do to create a group widget that you can put on your blog or website. It can be a great promoting tool:)
