Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows question

Maybe they liked Harry and Hermione together because they've paid more attention in the movies than in the books. Oh, admit it, guys! The movies screamed Harry and Hermione. The writer's favorite character was Hermione and he wanted her to shine alongside Harry. Ron was meant to be the third wheel.

But then we go to the lovely books. Ron and Hermione are just perfect because they started out as friends who didn't really like each other that much, but then grew with each other and loved every bit of quirk they had. And it's just beautiful.

I always thought that Ron and Hermione would end up with each other, because it's obvious that Hermione has always cared about him because of how frustrated she gets when she doesn't make any headway in getting him to understand that he can be insensitive and getting him through all of his exams.
And it's obvious that Ron feels the same because of how jealous and overprotective (and slightly unfeminist) he can be when Hermione recieves attention from elsewhere

Ron and Hermione.
Harry and Ginny.
Draco and Lavender.

I always thought they would be perfect together, basically because they are polar opposites and Hermione really keeps Ron in check :)

Hmm, I always actually kinda wanted Draco and Hermonie together, she could have brought him back i reckon. They would've made a very passionate couple thats for sure. Though im glad Hermonie found someone good in the end, which is the most important part.

I didn't and still don't ship anything so I'm fine with what the author did.

I was happy Ron and Hermione ended up together, the tension between the two was hilarious and to be honest kind of obvious that it would end up that way, I thought it was sweet.

I would have liked to have seen Harry couple with Luna :) that would have been a nice pairing.

To each his or her own I guess. For me I totally see Harry and Hermione together. What better partner than someone who knows you in and out, whose seen you at your best and worst and who'll stand by you while the whole world turns their back on you (ie: Hermione during Goblet of Fire). Love often stems from friendship so, I don't see it weird that after they've been through together they should develop deep feelings for one another.

I think that Hermione would just be intellectually frustrated with Ron. And let's face it how true a friend can he be when he's turned his back on Harry and Hermione in turn at the worst moments, all for his ego? (ie: Harry - Goblet of Fire; Hermione - Deathly Hallows; and again Harry - Deathly Hallows).

I don't hate Ron, I just liked him earlier on in the series before he turned into a major git!

I always wanted Hermione to end up with Ron (they're the perfect "opposites attract" couple) and Harry to end up with Luna. I didn't like Ginny as much for some reason. I think Luna is awesome though. Harry's always been singled out because of who he is, and Luna is so unique...I thought they'd be awesome together.

I know it's funny trust your authors people! If they say it happens, it happens! Ron and Hermione are perfect together! Harry and Hermione would be good too I guess but trust your writers! It's their story and their world so if that's the way it happened it shouldn't be any other way.

I like Ron and Hermione.. a yin and yang pair.

I thought Harry and Luna would be so adorable together , but also love ' em as friends. In the end I like Harry and Ginny.

And as for Lily and Snape it wasn' t meant to be but still loved their friendship. So sad how it ended.

Ginny Weasley can go have her pick, she's cute and awesome and I love her but she and Harry together kinda freak me out.

Ron and Hermione argued so much, there had to be something there! It was kind of like Pride and Prejudice; they wouldn't hate each other so much if they weren't really interested.
And they really did care about each other, which explained their frustrations with each other. (Ron wanting to rescue Hermione in book 7 from Bellatrix was great. I'm an old romantic, I admit it.)

I liked them as a couple, and I think the whole Harry and Ginny were a good couple too. I don't know why people are always sticking Hermione with Harry or Draco when she and Ron are awesome together.

No. You are not the only one. I was rooting for them since I read the first book and I was extremely happy when they finally got together (and stayed together) in book seven.

I *prefer* Hermione/Viktor but I am okay with Hermione/Ron. I wish Neville and Ginny had been a couple and Harry been with Luna.

I LOVE RON + HERMINONE!!!! they r just so perfect. i dont think harry and hermione could ever have worked because they are too similar. they would have stepped on each other's toes. i wish neville and luna had gotten together though...

I was never a fan of Harry and Hermione. Maybe once for a just about a minute. I always looked at them as siblings.

...well if you want to know the truth, I actually like Draco and Hermione. Haha, fanfiction tends to make you like strange things.

And then my second favorite pairing is Harry and Hermione. I love Ron, think he's great, but I think Harry and Hermione would have been a great couple. I mean come on, the Deathly Hallows part 1 when Harry and Hermione dance? You cannot tell me that wasn't precious. :D

Now I must admit, it's been a couple years since I've read the books, so I'll have to read them again to see if Ron and Hermione really hit things off. I know I remember Harry falling for Ginny and I was like "ew...why?!"
