Okay then, let's start simple. First you need a basic knowledge of how Mandarin works. Everyone knows Mandarin is written with characters right? Well Mandarin also has an English friendly way to read and write it. That's called Pinyin. Ni Hao would be the way to write 你好 In pinyin.

Thad be PC. Okay then-Go to the windows button
-Click "Control Panel"
-Click "Clock, Language, and Region
-Click "Region and Language"
-At the top click "Keyboards and Languages" then click "Change keyboards..."
-Click "Add"
-Scroll down and find "Chinese (Simplified, PCR)" and click the tiny plus next to it.
-Click the plus next to "keyboard"
-Click "Chinese (Simplified)- Microsoft Pinyin ABC Input Style" until there is a check in the box next to it
-Click "Okay"
-Click "Apply"
-You may then close all the extra windows that were opened.
-At the bottom (near the time) you will either see an "EN" or a "CH" English and Chinese, simple right?
-click on the abbreviations to change the language.
Alright then. Next thing you should know is that Chinese is a tonal language. The tone that you say a word can change its meaning. so saying Lu Cha (green tea) with the wrong tones means you could be asking for donkey tea.
There are four tones and a fifth no tone. fifth tone is hard to explain and since I can't hear you speak, tones are irrelevant. Alright let's start with something simple. How bout numbers?1= 一
6= 六
11= 十一
4= 四
9= 九
2= 二
7= 七
12= 十二
5= 五
10= 十
3= 三
8= 八
20= 二十
Another thing, qi is pronounced chee
chi is pronounced chir
shi is pronounced shir
xi is pronounced she
gei is pronounced gay
and so on. pronunciation takes a while, but once you understand it, it's easy
gei means give.你给我你的帽子。 ni gei wo ni de mao zi. Give me your hat.
put it into google translate if you want to hear the pronunciation.

Glad you don't want to learn the language of the country that owns half of us. we owe them like 4 trillion in debt. SO either we learn Chinese or try to understand their terrible English. emphasis on try.
