Last week of summer?

I've heard people refer to this as the last week of summer! Must be that Labor Day marker. But what are you reading?

Just started Widow's Might by Sandra Brannan think it'll be a good one.

I am reading Shine Shine Shine, and the library called. They have three books for me to pick up The Age of Miracles, Beautiful Ruinswhich I did start to read several weeks ago but had to return, and The Shoemaker's Wife.
I really have to read quickly before they have to be returned to the library.

I finished The Bone House by Brian Freeman over the weekend and really enjoyed it! Yesterday, I started The Age of Miraclesand absolutely love it! It's very hard to put down!

I really liked The Age of Miracles. It may rank as my summer favorite.

I couldn't get interested in Istanbul Passageso I passed it long to my husband who seems to be enjoying it. And I keep reading Shadow of Night as something to pass the time until I have a chance to pick up The Sandcastle Girls from the library.

I'm reading and almost finished Pandemonium, which is book 2 in the Delirium trilogy. I am greatly enjoying it and sad to be almost finished. It is a page turner, and I know I'll find it so hard to wait for book 3 to come out in March (!). I hadn't read any young adult novels in a while, so these two were a welcome change of pace after some of the heavier reading I had been doing.

Next I will finish Before I Go To Sleep, then start Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague, because that one was chosen for me from my to-read shelf by someone in the "TBR--To Be Referred" group. I hope I like it; it isn't one I was planning on reading anytime soon.

I still have a true-crime book I need to finish, but I'm a bit burned out on heavy stuff right now, so that is on hold indefinitely. I miss fiction.

I enjoyed the Year of Wonders;a novel of the plague. I learned a lot from it.

That Year of Wonders does look good ! And the one you are reading Annika, I do have on a list at library. I came back to Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter and only have a few pages left. I like it and would definitely read more by that author. I know I said I was going to reread The Passage after but have not yet. (I have till October to recap!) So instead I am reading 1 Dead In Attic which was referenced at the end of Salvage The Bones. It's columns a writer wrote throughout Hurricane Katrina. I also am Rereading Anne Frank. I did not plan to. I went to used book store and saw it and I just felt immediately I needed to read it again. It may be that it was on my mind after The Fault In Our Stars.

Bit late for this week but I'm reading Phallic Panic: Film, Horror and the Primal Uncanny and No More Dying Then at the moment. Contemplating starting The Art of Fielding this evening too.

I actually managed to start it last night and other than getting slightly confused by the baseball terms, I'm enjoying it so far :-)

I just started Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. So far, so good.

Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague, The Art of Fielding, and The Age of Miracles all received 5 stars from me. Today I finished Gone Girl and although I was a little bit disappointed in the ending it will also be a recipient of my 5 star rating. Now I have that feeling I get when I have just finished an excellent book; I do and do not want to start a new one.

I love those kinds of reading streaks! I just finished
The Sandcastle Girls and it was so wonderful that I hesitate to start anything else.

I finished "Silence in Hanover Close," which was really good. I also read "Ink, Red, Dead," by JoAnn C. Slan, "Goose Girl" and "Enna Burning" and started "Forest Born" by Shannon Hale. I really enjoyed "Every Soul a Star," by Wendy Mass. I will finish up "Invitation to Murder" today--a free ebook. A bunch of holds came in through the library, so I have a lot to choose from for my next endeavors.
