Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I just sent a text message to my sister. Its a good job she knows me. My mobile phone predictive text seems to suffer from Turretts Syndrom. It adds words, swears and changes the meaning of my texts.

Anyone else hate predictive text as much as me?

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Probably just about everyone Simon. My last phone had a fixation with Whigs.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments My iPad has given me a new York accent.

I keep saying things are goid.

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) | 82 comments I can never tell when I get texts from my son because he's dyslexic - never sure if it's the phone or him!
(Hint - never play Battleships with a dyslexic - it ends in tears - mine, not his.)
A really hot summer a few years ago, my son was in France and he texted to say he'd bought 'Brie' and had it safe in his suitcase. Turned out he didnt mean cheese but a 'beret' - phew, that would have been one stinky suitcase by the time he got home.

Emma (emzibah) | 4125 comments Lol! I think I am the only one who used to love predictive text. I actually kinda miss it with my blackberry and it's querty keyboard!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I switched off predictive text on the tablet. I would prefer to have typoes than completely the wrong word...

Katy | 2662 comments My brother got his gcses the other day....

I sent a text to a load of family members saying "Chris passed his gases!"

I hate predictive text!

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I find it's brilliant for speed but you do need to read your text before you send it!

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments That is fabulous Katy! Predictive text errors can be very funny. I don't use predictive text cause I have a qwerty keyboard ♥♥♥

On an iPad or a Mac, the QWERTY keyboard won't save you... But then it's not so much predictive text as "creative autocorrect" on your tiling! ;)

message 15: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments "tiling"

Ha! proved me point!

message 16: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Ok, so that's the one good thing about blackberries, no stupid autocorrect.

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments Brilliant Katy!
Phil is dyslexic and finds the speech to text facility on the Galaxy invaluable!

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments I switched off the predictive text on my phone because it wouldn't let me write what I wanted. Wasted so much time trying to get it to do that - the phone nearly went through the window.
