Discovery of Witches

Anyone reading this series? I know it's getting mixed reviews but I liked the first book. Sure it took a little to get into but after you got passed the first 100 pages it got better. Some of the historical stuff was a little over my head and I skimmed it but generally it was a good read. I have the second in the series but haven't read it yet. I just wanted to hear everyone else's thoughts.

I finished both books and I actually enjoyed them both. A times they were slow but the story is well thought out and the character creation is in my opinion excellent. I loved how in Shadow of Night the Author put a little chapter at the end of each section to show how what they did back in time had an affect on what was going on in the present. I'm patiently (ok not so patiently) waiting for the third book in the series to come out so I can find out what happens...
