All I can say is wow ... the league really needs to settle this issue with the "real" officials. I understand that these substitutes are doing the best they can -- in most cases -- but they have blown soooo many calls already this season, and affected the outcome of several games. This game that's not quite over has been ludicrous *@@*

There is absolutely no reason that some of the results that happened this week should have happened.

I agree, Ashley. The officiating by the replacement refs has had a direct impact on several games in my opinion.

Agreed, Leslie -- and last night's game was the most blatant. One can HOPE that this might make the league powers-that-be realize that this farce has to stop, but who knows? They've been saying for years that they'll do "whatever it takes to protect the brand." Well ... right now ... "the brand" is nothing but a joke.

I pray that none of the players ends up hurt as a result of these ridiculous calls!

I am a browns fan, love them to death, ( sometimes I dont know why) so if you are pickin teams they play the ravens thursday and then the giants sunday, so I would pick against them

MY PICK WEEK FOUR: Ravens over Browns - although it pains me greatly -- I really like the Browns, and I detest the Ravens. But I don't think the Browns will pull this one out ... unless the refs help them somehow!

Yes I know ... which is why I despise the Ravens :) I'm not sure that they moved in the middle of the night, because Modell made it quite public that he was moving the team.

BUT ... if the Colts hadn't left Baltimore in the middle of the night years before, Baltimore wouldn't have been looking for a new team. At least Cleveland kept the team name, colors and history!!

I am using New England Patriots as my team and guessing who is the best between them and their opponents, just not having much luck, I hope they sort the refs out for you true NFL followers as it doesn't mean as much to me, poor refereeing in any sport should be outlawed.

On the plus side my English Soccer team Leeds United just knocked Everton out of the cup (one of the top teams in the division above us)

I hate to say the refs is awful but some of these teams should not have found themselves in the position that one or two calls should decide a game this week. And I say that coming off my first pick that was a loss..=(

Now I don't know if blindly picking a team is better than trying to really pick one.

For the soccer fans out there - what is happening with the refs in the NFL right now is like having a Youth League referee all of a sudden called to referee a FIFA World Cup Match or a Champion's League Match. But at least in soccer the rules basically stay the same. The rules for the NFL are very different from High School and college football. And that is who is reffing at the moment.
But the players still need to play! And we still get to read our books!! YEA!!
