I bought my Kindle on dot.com before they were available over here and yep I migrated everything over with no problems xx

Sometimes it doesn't come up with the thingy at the top saying 'you already purchased this on such a such a date' but if you click on it to buy it then tells you that that book is already in your library!

Oh right.Well then, I believe but I'm not 100% sure that deregistering will clear the archive but the downloaded books will stay until they're removed.
She might want to consider keeping her .uk account and getting a second cheapie kindle with adverts on a .com account.
But if she's not gone crazy clicking books, deregistering and reregistering is easy and straightforward.
I think if she changes her address on the Amazon account then there is no need to de-register and register (which will indeed clear the archive, as far as I know!) then she will be given the option to migrate to .com. That was how it worked with me and coming back to .co.uk in any case, so I presume it is the same the other way round?

Ooh yeah. I suppose if she changes her address, it might automatically migrate her. Thanks for the help guys. She leaves tomorrow and just emailed me today after hearing about how different prime was on Amazon US.
She has only had it a month or two and I think only has a few books (I joked that she'd be probably better loosing her 50 Shades trilogy ;))

I'm guessing no, but I just wanted to confirm this.
If it isn't, which she says isn't a big deal (she hasn't had her Kindle long so I'm guessing she doesn't have many books yet as she isn't a big reader), can you just de-register on one and re-register on the other with her new address?
