It's the most popular edition of the book, but it doesn't have an isbn. The cover they used is the same one as the second most popular edition, but it has a different page count. The page count does match the 3rd most popular edition.
Can it just be merged as is or should we split it with the best match first?

I have it separated out with it's match - but every time I try to delete that copy the server times out. I'll keep trying. Or another super can.

trying also - have swapped out ISBN's to lesser shelved editon to see if that helps


Edit: I know what I mean :) tried to delete edition with fewer shelvings but not working either.

Going to leave for a while, some times it does actually delete just takes it own time to do so

Re 170: I've separated them out, but I'm running into errors everywhere and I keep getting kicked off the internet. Someone else will have to get it.

They have different page numbers and different publication years, so I don't think either should be deleted.

Oh, shi-... never mind. Anyway according to worldcat there are at least five editions all with that ISBN, all published by Wordsworth, and all having a different publish date (it ranges from 1992 to 2001). I'm gonna put a librarian's note on it; a real one this time. ;)

Why? They seem to legitimately have different page numbers. Why shouldn't users be able to have the correct number of pages listed?

because I am not aware of any discussion or rules on "alternate page numbers edition", only on "alternate cover edition".

Heh. It doesn't really happen enough to warrant a section in the manual, but if you browse through old threads you will probably find a handful of other such cases.

Each ASIN, ISBN, and BNID should get a separate entry, as has been done there.

The first link is using a BNID, which is Barnes & Nobles version of an ASIN. If you look at the ISBN 13 it starts with 294; I have deleted the meaningless ISBN-10

The second and third links just need to be combined, which I have done. We keep books with unique ASINs, even if has the same ISBN as another ebook edition. (The same is true for books with unique BNIDs.)

All 3 of the books are valid editions. The 294 number is Barnes & Noble's version of an ISBN.

I don't actually know much about the book, since I don't speak the language. I was just noticing they were the exact same when I was combining other Rick Riordan books for someone else.

When I uploaded my book as an author, it created two editions. It's because when I first uploaded it, the page read "Goodreads is over capacity".

Can you delete the version without the rating?
