The self-published version is already up on GoodReads, so I think it's safe to delete the version that won't be published (and will help eliminate confusion).

I checked online and the only records of the 9781405513524 (which was manually added to this website, not supplied through the databases') book are unreliable websites. World Cat also doesn't have any record of it, but they do have the 1250002826 (ISBN13: 9781250002822) book listed in their files.

I don't know if that means it is some obscure book that World Cat just doesn't have on file or if it is user error.

I could be wrong though.

I see no reason to believe that is not a valid entry, probably a UK edition. The ISBN is valid (passes the check digit test). Not being on WorldCat is not proof of much.

Okay. The only entries sites I found had conflicting info or said it was "not available".

We do not delete books that are not available orout of print. This is a book cataloging site and people want to shelve and review the book that they read. Think of it more as a library who would not remove a book from their shelves because it was out of print or republished

Hi, Paula, thanks for replying, would it at least be possible to make the new kindle version and cover the edition that shows up first by default, so if someone clicks on my profile they will see the new Kindle Version? Otherwise, I suppose I could separate them so that they both show? Thanks again, John

THe default one is the one most shelved by users, there is no way to change this. Once the new cover edition has been shelved more times it will become default.

GR policy is to keep same works combined

Don't know if anyone can help with this, but the author of these Twilight fan fictions has asked that they be removed from GR. They're not published works and she's unsure how they were added in the first place :)

Published on a website constitutes an ebook for GR purposes. Given that these fanfics are still posted, I see no reason to remove their records from GR. (They'll just get added right back.)

I have separated them out to merge, but I lkeep getting 504 Gateway timeout. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

I got the same Gateway 504 error though. I think it timed out because the placeholder edition had 7000+ shelves.

The edition with the ISBN only had 150. I switched the ISBNs and other info to the placeholder and deleted the edition with lesser shelves, which worked like a charm.
