Please delete this book! (pt. 13)

someone tried to enter the ISBN13 in the ISBN10 spot on this one so it needs to be merged with the proper entry (I already separated the two) and recombined with the others http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

there is no ebook edition
it is available in kindle & paperback (the author refers to being available in ebook, but it is only kindle format)

I think that this may be the original edition that is no longer published. However I would leave it because while there is no evidence that what I just said is correct at the very least it isn't incorrect.

The second two, I can't tell for certain...I'm going to leave those for someone who actually speaks Japanese.

We don't delete books that are out of print. Users may have read or own these books and the GRs database is treated more like a library than a storefront.

Got the others. I don't speak Japanese (other than a few phrases), but Worldcat and Wikipedia confirmed they were the same.

and should be deleted and merged into this:

and then recombined with the other editions of Sjöjungfrun (The Drowning).
Thanks!

Actually, whoever transferred that ISBN seems to be in the right. I can't find any reseller that has that cover and it's not listed on the publisher's website either (here).
I also contacted the author on Twitter and he said that it was an "unused rough produced by the publisher" (here). I understand that GR catalogues books that never went into mass production as long as they have a valid ISBN, but what about this case? It seems to me that a rough draft shouldn't be thought of as an alternate cover edition. Is it safe to assume that it needs to go?

Regardless, the ISBN should never have been removed. If the other details didn't match the ISBN were wrong, they should have been changed, but a valid ISBN should never be stripped from a record.
So, just to make sure I'm correctly understanding the situation, the cover on this one is a pre-production cover, and this is the cover that was actually released with the ISBN/book?

Yes, that's right.

thanks!

This looks like a remnant of deleting all the Amazon data and should be left in case an import is found for it.

Yeah, that was a pretty lame joke. Is it Friday yet?

Don't worry, it was an edition with a wrongly spelled author name, no Amazon issue here.

However, I did find a duplicate of the hardcover edition and merged that.
