Right, I think I've done this but I may be living in a fool's paradise (no change there, then)

You have done yours Philip and I have activated it. Took me a while to find your Navigation Panel though :)Thanks for joining in!

Yes, sorry about that. I'll see if I can move it further up the page.
You should stick a post explaining the ring in the 'our author's blogs' thread. And you have no idea how often I've typed bog instead of blog....
The nav bar is going to be in different places for each website. Some sites look so good I am a bit embarrassed to ask people to put my blob on it.

I'll have to stop now before I get carried away ;-)
Hmmm, Phil, you are using Blogger and your nav bar looks good. Ignite is having mutant html issues. Can you give us a quick explanation how you are adding it to your blog?

There's a facility there to 'Add a Gadget' and the drop-down list gives you the option of adding HTML. You paste the HTML into the relevant box and Bob's your Uncle and Fanny's your Maiden Aunt!
Patti (Stir Crazy) wrote: "Yay Phil! I'm so pleased you joined. I reckon you have one of the best blogs ever."Oh shucks! Now I'm going to have to blush.
Now I didn't know what gadget to add. I used a text one and I wondered if that was the problem.*sneaks off for another shuftie*
Wahey! Cracked it! I now have it as a neat little wassname) can I have it in pale lilac please) under my 'About me' bit. That was the problem. As a complete numpty I had an unsuitable gadget (we' ve all done it!)
Well you have all made me look at my blog and update it now. I might update it some more. I want to add loads of photos but I think a web page might be better for that.
Team work! Well, not exactly. Thanks Philip and well done Ignite. My finest moments seem to be when I stay silent and find someone who knows what they are doing :)
Right! At the risk of being hit with a stick....
Ignite has now put her blog on the ring so it is officially easy
Simon (Highwayman) wrote: "Team work! Well, not exactly. Thanks Philip and well done Ignite. I gave technical advice...and it turned out to be correct! Be afraid, be very afraid.
Panic not Simon. If I can do it, it's DEAD easy! Your comment was the last piece in the jigsaw Philip. Thank you.

Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Do you know where your towel is?"I always know where my towel is, just in case.
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Good man."Ah, you've been looking behind the towel again, haven't you? ;-)
I've received the email for this, but I keep forgetting to add the code to my website. My mind is not focused, obviously . . .
I have noticed Dylan :)The websites in the ring had around thirty extra hits yesterday by joining according to my stats.

Me? No, no, of course not! *blush*

Yes, I'd noticed an increase in traffic. Good innit!
I wonder if you can put a link to the ring in the thread title, Simon?Or somewhere on the group front page? Yeah, I know we can all bookmark it.
Just saying.
No, I can't put a link in the thread title. I tried that some time ago.It is on the front page in so far as http://www.ethings.org.uk is the site web page and if you click on that you go to the ring explanation page.
Edit : In Group Info.
Brilliant. Thanks Simon for all your efforts on our behalf! Would be great to do a Ring cycle comp - the web one we tried over Christmas was a bit hit and miss to say the least!
Scary when we start getting organised, isn't it?
