Whilst I've read a lot of books, most of them aren't PNR/UF. I started reading long before they wrote these sort of books.
But I'm having fun catching up :D

Review:
Maddox and Ashlyn were awesome characters. Even though Maddox is possessed with violence, he was able to channel it away from her and towards anyone who'd do her harm. As for Ashlyn, I thought it was interesting how her "power" worked.
Overall, the book was great. Sometimes the first in a series is slightly lacking due to all the world-building that must be done, not so for this book. I enjoyed the shifting view-points also. The book reminded me of the BDB series in that manner and in the group of males all housed together. Will definitely be returning for more when I have a chance.

I think I started the series because I thought covers were great.

I;m getting a move on my demons read today. Hope to finish it by tomorrow at the latest.

I'm down with a bad, bad cold which means I have all the good stuff that goes with - headache, throat ache, blocked nose and headache. Yes, two times the normal headache. I couldn't concentrate on any new book. I'm going back to tried and tested method: rereads. I'm reading

Lis, we don't have any independent pharmacy in Singapore. To get any serious medicine, you need a doctor's prescription. A bit of a bore here. And I don't think we get Zicam here. I'm feelings loads better today at any rate.

Review: As re-reads go, this book was perfect. I loved revisiting the whole world and the characters. I loved the interaction between Raphael and Elena especially the last scene. Now, on to Angels' Flight.
I don't get why two people shelved it as demons though - not that I'm complaining. ;)

Once upon a time an angel and a devil fell in love... It did not end well.
All i can say is wow! I love this book its definitely a favorite. I enjoyed the whole cast of characters and absolutely love Karou, Akiva and of course Brimstone with his "...and no inessential penises."
( -- ok just had to throw that in cuz its pretty funny).
This is a very unique story and unlike anything Ive read and for the most part kept me guessing where the story would go next. Now i just have to wait until November...

Oh, oops. Sorry, I saw the wrong person on the book page. I was thinking that might be it or did the persons mean demons from the past.
I'm starting Bone Crossed as a BR. Hope tomorrow's shelf's good one. The weird thing is I always seem to be between books just a while before the shelf announcement day.

I was off reading smoke and bone reviews Dawn, you've got me tempted. I'm not real big on YA if it's full of teenage angst, but if there's a good story in there I'll give it a try.

Woohoo another stamp!

Now, it's 1:10 am here and I'm off to bed!

I'm not sure which book I'm going to read:

Fair Game comes out Tuesday which most likely be Tuesday evening and I need to slow down on the Psy-C series. Too many choices.

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'demons'.

Good Job!! :D

I thought this book was amazing. The plot was original and the series-world-building was done extremely well. The story grabs you from the very beginning as the Hero, Jaxon, is setting his sniper sights on ex-girlfriend and alleged traitor Libby who he has just found after three years. Of course there would be no story if he took the shot so he decides to get up close and personal. But he soon realizes Libby has no idea who she is. Her first memory is getting off a bus two months prior with no money, no memory other than her name, a sense of fear of "them", and a boat-load of scars and still healing injuries.
This book keeps you guessing while it twists and turns along at a steady clip. I'll certainly be reading the next two in the series once I finish my monthly challenge books.
