Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Ooops! Had the date he ran for president of Texas wrong - it was 1836 not 1986, LOL!

message 102: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 90 comments I was so excited that I didn't noticed that, LOL. I read it as 1886.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Yeah, I couldn't even claim it was 1886, as he was dead and burried by then.

Dina (missdina) | 90 comments Lisa, I need your help... I just read a book that's set in the 'tristate area' (no specific city is mentioned). Where is that? I googled it, but couldn't make anything out of it. Is there any way I can fit that book in this challenge?

message 106: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Dina, what is the name of the book? I need a little more clarification.

Here is what Wiki says on it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-stat...

message 107: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 90 comments Lisa, the book is Turn It Up by Inez Kelley. Some cities (Boston, Chicago, Phoenix) are mentioned in the book, but not as places where the H/h live. The heroine is looking for a job and has sent her résumé to radio stations all over the country. I'm afraid that book is one of those where we don't know exactly where it takes place. *sighs*

Oh boy, I've gone completely crazy, LOL. The book isn't Turn It Up, it's Hired for Her Pleasure. TIP is set in Virgina and I've already earned 4 points for it. Now, HFHP is still a mystery. Sorry for the confusion, Lisa Kay.
