Glad to hear it Laura, it was a pleasure being teammates ;)
I'll be looking for you in 2012 when the next game starts.

This is my second 'steampunk-ish' book and I have to say that I am liking this sub-genre quite a lot. Many other aspects that I expect from books end up sitting on the sidelines so that the steampunk world building can take place but in this book I felt that it was a good balance.
My complaint with this book is that it felt like it was trying really hard to get an hour of work done in 45 minutes. There were moments where the characters were acquiring information in regard to the 'mystery' in the book at a speed that left a few holes. A bit of informational dump going on that threw off the pace for me. This transferred over to the characters as well. You got just enough info on Mina and Rhys to understand or justify most of their actions, but you never really felt like you knew them.
And the ending had that, "Oh, Joe just walked in the door! Gotta' go...bye!" feeling to it. I'm thinking the author could have thrown us a bone and threw in a few more pages to settle us down after the big revelations at the end. The ending was very wham-bam-thank you maam but regardless of the frantic finish, I still enjoyed the book overall.

To my fellow Sirens...thanks for making BSB so fun for me the last few months! Take care and see you in the threads. =D

A nice sexy werewolf shifter multi-partner book.
It only got 3 stars cause I didn't quite feel the connection between the H/H/h, there were certainly all the right things said, but then one or the other would do something stupid, that was just distracting.
Still I enjoyed the story and no humans were harmed in the telling of this story, our heroine was a rare female werewolf, even though she didn't know it.
Will be looking out for more of this series to see how it all works out.
