Haikus aren't just about the rhyme - they're supposed to be about self-meditation and inner reflection. It angers me how people just think they can be about anything and all that matters are the syllables.

Me: I didn't make them rhym(?). I did kinda just focus on the syllables, but actually a lot of them are merely focused on my view of things. Or they focus on my... spirit.

The problem is: 17-68k^2 = 0

I know how to do these problems, usually, but I checked my answers and they didn't work, so...I'm lost.

Me: Hmm...

17- 68k²= 0 [subtract 17]
-68k²= -17 [divide by -68 to isolate k²]
k²= 1/4 [or .25 if you like decimals.] [take the square root.]
k= .5, -.5 [ both signs because negative times negative is a positive.]

Me: They need to be factored, though, Moon. Then I can find the answer.

17- 68k²=0 [68 is divisible by 17]
17(1- 4k²)=0 [1-4k² is a difference of 2 squares expression, so the answer will have parentheses with two different signs]
17(1-2k)(1+2k)

Me: So I figured out the two answers for the parentheses are 1/2 and they work, but I don't know how to do the 17.
