Me: It was my last one. ^^
One time I tripped on the sidewalk and my loose tooth sort of tumbled out onto the street. x3

Me: Hi Whim, Jo, Silver.
Me too, I got clever on the last ones and didn't tell my mom.

Me: Cool.

Me: I'm practicing for a flute solo, again. :)
I showed my band director on Thursday, and he said I was really good, but...I seriously lacked style. >,< All my notes and articulation and value were precise. He suggested I play it the way a Native American would.
BTW--It's based off an Indian Tribe and is called Panther in the Sky. The style above th staff says, "Slowly and Freely." My trouble is, I don't know how to get better 'style'. I need to make it sound like there's a Panther crossing the sky, gracefully and freely~ o-o
This is the song, and the flute solo is 'round 2:14 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kmOWC...
No, I was just being me and randomly stating that my flute was on fire. xD
SURE.

Me: So play it breathily with a lighter tone - try hitting the air on the edge of your mouthpiece, if you know what I mean.
Use more dynamics and put emotion into the piece.

Me: I'll try. I HOPE I GET EET. :D
Me: One more question--I'm trying to learn a vibrato on my own, because personally I think a good one will make this piece, but I don't know how to go about it. I looked it up and it's a matter of diaphragm v. throat, but I don't understand either of them very much.
Lucas: *swings in on jungle vine and swoops up Myra and Whim* ;D What's up?

Me: *tackles Lucas before Myra can get to him*
. . . D: I have natural vibrato. . . What I would suggest is that when you breathe, vary the air outtake so you waver the flow, you know? But consistently.

Me: ...huh? o.o
I guess it'd be better if I just keep looking it up s'more. :/
Lucas: *is perplexed by musical terms*
Hayley: BREATHING MAKE PRETTY MUSIC, LUKE-LUKE.
