Jasmine seemed to get a little uncomfortable, seeing as she sat up when he sat down. Even after her conversation with a dryad, she was still as apprehensive as a fawn around people.

She shot him a slightly disbelieving look, vines sprouting from the ground and curling around her ankles for comfort. "I know that," she said quietly.
"Maybe because I felt like it?" And because Jasmine didn't have an attitude, there wasn't a smidgen of sass in her tone as she said this.
"Fine," she repeated, looking away with a small huff. Jasmine held back a roll of the eyes, she was quite good at controlling her emotions.
She opened her mouth to say something 'Fine', then realized how stupid that would sound and drawled out, "Average."
Why do you care? This was exactly why she wasn't good with people; the high ability to be snarky, but the part that stopped her so she said nothing. "Average isn't bad," she remarked quietly, the words stinging with irony.
"Then you can assume I'm not good today," Jasmine said slowly, as if trying to explain something to a four year-old.
"What, do you want my life story?" Sure, the question was an overreaction, but Peter was especially good at getting on Jasmine's nerves. Most people wouldn't pry with her, whereas others avoided her because of her dark aura.
"I said I was average, not in a bad mood," Jasmine persisted. Gladiolus bulbs sprouted from the vines on her legs, and bloomed an annoyed bright pink.
"Then why do you keep asking?" Jasmine retorted, her calm expertly covering up the increasing irritation she felt.
She furrowed her brow, the flower petals changing into a creamy lilac colour. "Explaining what?"
"There is no reason, I'm just average," Jasmine said, letting out a seething breath.
"And you could have accepted a simple 'average'," Jasmine replied with such sweetness it was sour, her initial intent.
No one cares what you want. Fed up, Jasmine settled for a high-pitched humph of her own and a, "Fine."
"Good," she said, the part of her that wanted the last word in this conversation taking over.
((xD))
Jasmine's glare faltered with with a grudging amusement. Yet she refused to smile, but gave Peter a defiant look. "Lovely."

Jasmine leaned in with the dark shadow of determination crossing her face, narrowing her eyes. "Glorious," she said in that low, velvety voice of hers.
((We're gonna need one. @-@))
She smirked at the signs of struggle, easily coming up with, "Exquisite."

((Time to break the cycle...))
Here, Jasmine took up the open opportunity to turn it around. Mostly because she was running out of synonyms. "Why thank you," she said with an innocent bat of the lashes, pretending to be flattered.

"No, I just needed to break the cycle," Jasmine retorted in an as a matter-of-factly tone.
She mumbled something, at first one would probably assume it was an insult, but a few seconds later a cushion of soft, luxurious grass replaced the rather dry looking grass that Peter sat on. Turning her back on him for ignorant purposes, Jasmine stared out over the cliff.
"Doesn't that feel better?" Jasmine asked quietly, not turning around and keep her gaze toward the lake shore.
She fell silent, the buzz of the earlier argument wearing down and her rabbit-like apprehension surfacing again.
He glanced at her gain. "Seriously, though, something seems to be bringing you down. Or is thy just you?"
Jasmine turned her head so that her side profile showed, and stared at off to the forest-y side of the cliff. "That's just me," she said quietly.
"You sound like you've got peanut butter sticking your jaws together," she remarked.
