Isobel *The Goddess of Annoyance* (goddess_of_annoyance) | 13860 comments "True," Ennaline mused. "I assume I could... Only Mother likes me to help out with the foster children."

Holly leaned against the trunk of an tree, breathing uneven from her hike up to the cliff. Despite her fear of water and the long trek, the beautiful view was well worth it.

Whistling a haunting tune to himself, hands jammed deep in the pockets of his jeans, Evander ambled by, his guard completely down as he stopped to glance at the gorgeous scene. "It was better in BC," he mumbled to himself, plunging in old memories for a moment.

message 146: by [deleted user] (new)

"Evander," Holly regarded him with a careful expression, but she immediately felt dread growing in the pit of her stomach. Evander wasn't exactly 'welcome' in the territory that was her mind, or maybe that was just his already unwelcoming aura.

Evander whipped around in surprise, his aura flaring right back up again defensively. He'd thought he was alone. "Holly," he said, twisting his lips into a cruel sort of smirk. But he didn't really feel like terrifying anybody at the moment, and he'd gone a little too far with the Ares kid today, so his mind and velvety voice stayed quiet as he sat down, legs dangling off the cliff dangerously.

((LOL. xD))

Holly flinched internally as a wave of intimidation hit her, but only suppressed the smallest of grimaces. Showing weakness was not something she liked to do, especially when someone like Evander was the one would see it. Her gaze moved back down toward the expanse of ocean, observing how close he was to the cliff. Part of her worried, if he was to fall, the other part was too afraid to do anything, and she stayed quiet.

Evander smelled fear on people like sharks smelled blood: very, very, very well. Without turning around, he chuckled and said, "Oh, don't worry about me, Holly. I won't fall. And I'm not in the mood at the moment." He spoke the words with his usual cynical quiet voice, threateningly soft, but on the inside he was in turmoil.
That boy... the Ares boy. It had left Evander in shock, how strong Lucas Cromwell's emotions were.
