FINALLLYYYYY finished "Tracking the Tempest"...2/8/2011- 3 STARS

Wow. It took me forever to get through this book. While I love the characters - they are interesting and unique, and Jane herself says some really funny stuff that has me laughing out loud... the plot of this book was just not "hooking" me. I found it SO easy to put this book down and not pick it up again. I don't do well with books like that and had this not been a challenge, I probably would have quit! Too many books out there to settle for a book that doesn't keep my attention. That said, I will read the next book because I do enjoy the characters - just hoping for a plot that can keep up with them.

Sorry it wasn't gripping ya, Ang. But, YAY for finishing! Always feels like such a weight is lifted when you are able to finish those challenge reads you find yourself having to push through (and hopefully those are few and far between).

Yay! I will be reading Lover Eternal for the paranormals shelf. It is sad to see the game coming to an end. Can't wait for Round 2!

Finished my book for Paranormals.

Demon from the Dark ★★★★☆ 2/15/11

I went into this book expecting to be disappointed with Carrow. A lot of my friends complained about how she wasn't as bad ass as Cole made her out to be. True, she wasn't but I liked-& enjoyed reading about-her all the same. She was fun, snarky, humorous & would do ANYTHING to get her man. She was also very protective about the people she loved. I haven't enjoyed a IAD heroine this much since Holly from Dark Desires After Dusk. As for Malkom...I say goddamn. Mmmm. Reading the description of him (he's 7 freaking feet tall!) was hot enough but reading about him & Carrow struggling to communicate was even better. He definitely got the crap end of the stick growing up & I think Carrow made the perfect heroine for him. Another amazing book in the IAD series.

Man, I really gotta get back to that series soon. Or rather, get it goin', since I've only read the miniature start. Glad you liked it, Lethal. Great review. 7', huh? That boy's gotta have some really big ..... shoes. LOL! >;)

That was definitely a good one...just wait till you read the next one! Regin's book...finally (though I can't wait for Nix's...)

Finished Lover Awakened. My Review

So sorry for not posting sooner. Been having problems with my EXTREMELY slow computer and had to fix it which took a few days, but I'm back and I have read for our last shelf. I decided to go with something that kind of hit from multiple angles on the same subject so I picked The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance by x number of authors I don't really want to type. I enjoyed almost all of the short stories and I now have a several more authors that I must look into later on. I finished the book 2/15/11 and I give it 4 stars. And if that book doesn't count for the shelf I also read Captive Spirit by Anna Windsor which I just finished today and I give this book 3 stars. I would have to say that it wasn't as good as the first three books, but I still enjoyed it overall. I am really glad that the story was continued because at the end of the third book I was thinking "What? That's it? Well that was a crappy way to end a really good series." So yeah, happy that the story continues, but a bit disappointed that this book wasn't as good as all the others. Hopefully it gets better in the books to come in this series.

Sadly, it has come to the end of this lovely and at points very frustrating challenge. However, I really enjoyed it and reading along with all of you. Hopefully we will all be in for round 2. :)

"Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance" is on the paranormals shelf, so that's fine for your choice. Glad you were able to find some new authors to check out.

Finished "City of Ghosts" for our last shelf. I give it four stars. I liked this third book in the series much better than the last. This one didn't feel as centered around her drug addiction and I could sympathize more with her character. I actually wanted Terrible to forgive her instead of wisheung the complete opposite. The story was interesting although there were some slower parts that I had to skim through.

Great review, Angi! I've been meaning to continue this series for forever but something always keeps me from buying Unholy Magic. Maybe it's the drug addiction. I don't really care for Chess because of that-& her selfishness. But Terrible! Ah! Love him.

I finished Lover Eternal today and I gave it 5 stars. I enjoyed this one even more than Dark Lover. I loved Rhage and Mary together and was so glad to see them get their HEA after everything they had to overcome. I can't wait to read Zsadist and Bella's story next!

Yes exactly! And honestly book two is a lot of it... But if you can get through that one book three is not as centered on that and she does some things that redeems her a bit! :))
