I didn't really like KatMH but it was somewhat interesting. Not enough to make me finish the series right away though. Maybe some other day when I don't have anything else to read.

Finished Damien by Jacquelyn Frank and I must say that it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Roughly halfway through I noticed that I was getting bored with the book. I give it ★★

I just read #2...really liked it & looking forward to the next one! Hope you give it a try, too!

Angi | 485 comments I read the first one, "Kitty and the Midnight Hour" what feels like forever ago. I did like it, but somehow, it got pushed further on my booksfree list. I am definitely interested in reading the next one so glad to hear it's a good one! :)

message 107: by Desperado (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) | 1360 comments Thank you all for your opinions & advice! I really appreciate it!

@ Judith: It's a relief to know the 2nd book is good too. I want to read the 2nd book immediately! Unfortunately, my library carries every book in the series but that one so I'll have to wait until it gets posted to my PBS wishlist.

@ Angi: I'm happy to be of help. I have a friend on here who read the first book ages ago, as well. As soon as I get Kitty Goes to Washington, we're going to do a buddy read. Your welcome to join us if you'd like.

Amanda A | 812 comments WTG Bookworms!

I have not read Kitty and the Midnight Hour yet, but I'm glad to hear it is good. I have it on my "own" shelf here on Goodreads so it must be somewhere in my house. It is really sad that I sometimes can't remember which books I already own but have not read yet until I check my Goodreads shelf. Most of the time it is on my Kindle and I forgot I ordered it. :)

message 109: by Amanda A (new)

Amanda A | 812 comments I will be reading Caressed By Ice by Nalini Singh for the shifters shelf.

LOL, Amanda! Goodreads has so many wonderful uses, including being our "book brain" now and again. :)

Enjoy Caressed by Ice, that was one of my favorites in the series.

message 111: by Angi (new)

Angi | 485 comments Thanks Lethal, that would be fun! If I get it from booksfree in time, I'm in! :)

message 112: by Angi (new)

Angi | 485 comments Okay, I've decided I'm going to read "Waking the Witch" since Booksfree isn't here yet :(

message 113: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments US >> Overseas mail system is a blessing and a frustration, yah?! I'll be interested to hear what you think of WtW.

message 114: by Angi (new)

Angi | 485 comments Absolutely to both! ;-) I have a good circulation of booksfree books, but what I have now 1) Isn't part of the Bingo shelf, and 2) one is Gracie's that she isn't allowed to read because she is grounded. I know... grounded from reading?? But she is just like me.... she will let it consume her which is good but in this case, she needs homework done which isn't being done, which means not good grades and unhappy momma >:(

message 116: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Aw, poor Gracie and momma.

Angi | 485 comments K, finished "Waking the Witch".

I give it three stars. I LOVE Kelley Armstrong and this series in general and while I really like Savannah's characters, this one is not one of my favorites from the series. On that note here is my review:

November 12, 2010 - I enjoyed "Waking the Witch" as I do all of the "Women of the Otherworld" series books. I was excited to read a story that was devoted to Savannah, a character from many books back who was just a child when I first started to read about her. However, it was a bit difficult for me to connect with the characters this time. It could be my own fault because I kept starting and stopping the book. The plot was interesting and unpredictable and this one ended with a cliff hanger, so it will be interesting to see what this brings.
Waking The Witch (Women of the Otherworld, #11) by Kelley Armstrong

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Good review, Ang. I felt the same. But, I am looking forward to the continuation of the story.

Desperado (lethallovely) | 1360 comments Sorry for the inconvenience, but I've decided to change my Shifters read from Unraveled to Night Myst. I've tried for days to get into this book & it's just not working. I guess distance doesn't make the heart grow fonder, in this case. =(

ETA: Night Myst is currently on page 16 of the Shifters shelf.

message 121: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments It happens. I had a rough time with book one in that series. Interesting ideas, but the story was all over the place. Guess two is no better, huh?

Hope you like your second choice. :)

message 122: by Desperado (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) | 1360 comments Thanks, Steph!

I agree. Intertwined was a hot mess but it worked for me. Not so with Unraveled.

I liked it too, just seemed like there were so many stories that could've just had their own book. LOL! Sorry Unraveled didn't work out.

Judithe | 6566 comments LOL! Insomnia (though I never suffer from insomnia...just a desire not to waste perfectly good time SLEEPING!) is a wonderful thing! All those extra hours you can use to get the "little stuff" done...

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments With Goodreads and good reads (hardy har har), I don't mind not being able to fall right to sleep either. :)

message 140: by Amanda A (last edited Nov 18, 2010 04:37PM) (new)

Amanda A | 812 comments I finished Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh today. I am enjoying this series even more with each book and I think this is my favorite book in the series so far. I really liked learning more about the complexities within the Psy-Changeling world. The evolution of Brenna and Judd's relationship was also compelling to watch. I went back and forth on whether to give this one 4 or 5 stars. Can't wait to see what the next book holds!

4★
