OUR NEXT SHELF IS ..... vampires-werewolvesDIRECT LINK: 'vampires-werewolves'
Happy Reading, Everyone!!
I finished my book for the vampire-romance shelf, At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost, and I loved it! Cat and Bones are so great together. Some interesting new characters were introduced in this book. I also liked learning more about how the vampire politics work. This book was heart-wrenching at some points and then had me laughing out loud at others. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! Finished 10/24

Good review - I wish I was still new to that series or a re-reader, it's one of my favorites. Great choice, Amanda! Another fave of mine! Enjoy!
CONGRATULATIONS, Bingo Bookworms! You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'vampire-romance'.
[Your new BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D
I'll be reading "Men of the Otherworld" by Kelley Armstrong for our next shelf "Vampires-Werewolves."
I finished Silver Borne for the vampire-werewolves shelf and I think it is my favorite book in the series so far. It seemed like a lot of the unresolved issues in Mercy's life were cleaned up and she learned a lot about herself in the process. I really liked that Samuel was a central character and learning more about him and his past. It was also interesting to learn more about the pack dynamics and Mercy's impact on the pack. I can't wait to find out what's next for Mercy in the next book!Finished 10/27

I finished reading Glass Houses and it was interesting. I don't usually read YA books but this one has caught my attention. It's good, reasonable, and exciting. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I give it ★★★ :)
Angi, I wasn't sure if you saw
this post
or not ... just wanted to double check. Would you like to use Clockwork Angel as your Free Space read?
Thanks Steph! I don't think I'll be able to use it as I read it right before Bingo started, but that's okay!! :) Thank you for thinking of me!
I so love Mercy as well and can't WAIT to read "River Marked". I really like (and I can't remember which one this is right now!) the one where she has the demon after her, and she has to drink from the cup and do what the guy says...that one, I felt, just brought such strong emotions and pulled at my heart strings - I was in tears feeling so sad for her.... it's when I feel like that that I know I've read a good book!

Hi Ladies! I just finished my book choice for our new shelf, vampires-werewolves, "Men of the Otherworld" by Kelley Armstrong.
I really enjoyed this one. I've been a long time fan of Kelley Armstrong ever since a friend introduced me to her. I started to read the background story of two main characters, Jeremy and Clay, when she posted the story online. However, I just couldn't finish because I just don't do reading books well online. :( I was so happy to see it come in book form! :)
It sure didn't disappoint! As I said, it is the background story of two of her main men in several of her books (and two of my favorite!). I really enjoyed getting to know these guys more and what made them tick. In her newer books with these guys, you will see many references to the past and you always wonder to yourself, "I wonder what that's all about?" Well, this gives you the chance to see and then some. I loved it!
I give it 5 stars! :)
Me too!! They are my favs. Learning all the background on Jeremy was really interesting. Clay, I knew a little more about but how Jeremy was conceived and his links (which they also discussed in the last story of this book) was fascinating.
BTW, Just so you know, I am currently reading "Alpha" for the free space. (I know I don't get credit til read and reviewed). Oh my goodness it's soooo good! :)
UPDATE: New Member!Effective Immediately!
Bingo Bookworms, please welcome your newest member, LethalLovely! She'll be joining us to help pick up the slack left by Lovely Little Love.
Feel free to ask any questions, we're all happy to help you get up to speed on things. Like, Laura LuLu mentioned, it's a lot easier than it sounds. :)
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to be joining your team & I hope that I'll be able to pick up where Lovely Little Love left off. I picked up a couple of books from the library yesterday that I've waited to start, so if you need me to read a book for a certain shelf-or free space- I'm more than happy to do so.
We need 4 books completed to earn credit for a square. We are only lacking one more book to receive credit for the vampires-werewolves square. If you have a book available to read that is found on that shelf, that would be great! Here's the link to the shelf: vampires-werewolves
We are also lacking one more book to receive credit for the free space. I think Angi said she was reading her book for the free space now. You can read either a BOM, a book found on the group bookshelf or a new release for the free space.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Sandra & Amanda! Fortunately, I have books that will fit both the current shelf & free space. Thank you so much for responding so quickly. I've been itching to read these books but I was determined to wait until I got the okay from my team so the book(s) will count.I'll be reading Kitty and the Midnight Hour for vampires-werewolves.
Woohoo! And she's off! I love it! Welcome, Lethal! Thanks, Amanda, for getting her updated on things. Happy reading!
You rock LL. I love that you were waiting. :)"And she's off" is exactly right! Lucky group 4.
:Laura & her group 2 with it's 2nd absentee member is pouting: Lol!
Woo hooo!! So happy to have you here with us LethalLovely and welcome! We are quite lucky to have you - look at you go already! :) Thank you for joining us!For my free space book I just finished "Alpha" by Rachel Vincent. Oh my goodness, it was fantastic! Here is my review:
FIVE STARS! :)
Absolutely fantastic end to an amazing series. It was complex and suspensful. It was tragic and emotional. I thought the plot would be so simple and that I knew which way it was headed.... several times. It kept me on the edge of my seat and though I loved it very much, I'm sad to see it end... but very pleased (for the most part) with how it did. Thank you Ms. Vincent for an amazing series. One of my very favorites.
Thank you very much, LLL & Angi! I just hope I don't end up disappointing you all! *crossed fingers*

Thanks, Judithe! I'm already enjoying it, so far. I'm so used to participating in individual challenges & it's refreshing to be a part of a team.
CONGRATULATIONS, Bingo Bookworms! You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'free space'.

Good Job!! :D Only one more read needed for your stamp on 'vampires-werewolves' as well! Go, Bookworms, Go!
To celebrate our newest members, I decided to announce our next shelf a bit early!
OUR NEXT SHELF IS ..... shifters
DIRECT LINK: 'shifters'
Happy Reading, Everyone!!
Welcome to the group Lethal and happy reading! :)I just started Damien by Jacquelyn Frank so I'll be reading that for the shifters shelf.
Thanks, Aske!I'll be reading Unraveled for shifters as soon as I finish KatMH.
ETA: I know we only need 4 people to read a book for a shelf for it to get rec'd, but everyone still has the read one, right? If so, does that mean I have to read a book for the free space & vampires? I don't have a problem doing it, I just wanted to know.
So, my booksfree should be coming any day now, in which case I'll have my book "Friday Night Bites" by Chloe Neill for the new shelf, Shifters.
In any case, I have "Waking the Witch" as well, so I'm good either way. :)
I'll let you know in a couple of days for sure which one.
Finished my book for Vampires-WerewolvesKitty and the Midnight Hour ★★★★☆ 11/7/10
Initially, I didn't like this book & thought it'd join my list of UF epic fails. I swear, it seems like it's harder to find an awesome UF novel than it is to find an awesome PNR. But I did end up enjoying KatMH despite the many issues I had with it. It kept me interested & rarely had a dull moment. Unfortunately, I haven't developed an emotional connection with Kitty yet but hopefully it'll happen in the future. And please, more Cormac! He is smoking hot.
