Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 284 comments J.M. #2962:

J.M. I've written extensively on both Caesar & Centurions; good luck to you, but why are your books not listed on Goodreads?

Chapter readings dealing with both (from my second Epic Fable) are also FREE on Youtube, just type in my name, or Google my name for the link.

I love the whole Era & being a Time Traveler, I visit it often.

Write what you know, you know?

Howard: I've tried different platforms (Smashwords, Kobo, B&N etc.) but none have given me the results Amazon has. Like most people I go with what works for me. Do you still write about Caesar & Centurions?

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 284 comments J.M. has 'tried different platforms'

J.M. I do that as well, but also list with Goodreads so that my Epic Fables are listed on my profile page & the site in general & you can then use the 'add book/author' tag to add such to your posts.

Caesar, Centurions & the Fifth Legion are a big part of my 2nd book & a Centurion (who changes History) at the siege of Syracuse is in the 3rd book, in one of the twelve Short Stories on Time Travel it contains.

Judith Newton (ursula70) | 7 comments Free Kindle Edition of my food memoir Tasting Home on June 27-28 on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Tasting-Home-Co...

Tasting Home, winner of ten independent press awards, is a memoir about our longing for home, the many forms that home can take, and the role of food in our having it.

"Engaging," "delightful and resonant" with "plenty of insight." Publisher's Weekly Starred Review.

"This is a baby-boomer's dream: a book full of anecdotes about coming of age during the sexual revolution of the sixties -- with recipes! . . . an ingeniously conceived, tightly written, and beautifully packaged memoir, a vibrant portrait of the American feminine cultural experience from the 1950s forward." Independent Publishers.

"Tasting Home is more than a food memoir. Influenced by the civil rights struggle, the women's movement, and the AIDS epidemic, it is an odyssey of emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth. Cooking serves as a powerful metaphor for the difficulties and pleasures of relations among mothers and daughters; husbands and wives; gays and heterosexuals; and racial-ethnic groups. Tasting Home, like a grand meal, is a resounding success." --Belinda Robnett, author of How Long? How Long? African-American Women in the Struggle for Civil Rights.

Cheryl Landmark (clandmark) | 131 comments Hi, everyone. I'm looking for reviewers for my latest book, The Mattress Affair, the first in my Flint and Steele Mysteries series.

Flint, the clever canine, solves mysteries and crimes in his beloved hamlet of Gros Cap. The story is chock full of quirky characters and lots of humour.

If you think this is something you would enjoy reading and reviewing, I can send you the epub, mobi or pdf version.

Thanks in advance and happy reading!

Glenda Reynolds (glendareynolds) Another Giant Tales anthology debuted this past Wednesday on Amazon: Giant Tales Dangerous Days, Tales of Climate Change and Crowns .

 photo DangerousDaysClimateChange-thumbnail_zpsc9a6eecd.jpg

http://www.amazon.com/Giant-Tales-Dan...

I am a contributing author with my short story World Net Utopia . "'Christa lives 150 years after the global nuclear war when electrodes are programming the brains of most of the citizens. Christa and her husband accept this as normal activity even after a suspicious package arrives.'

I drew my inspiration from current sci-fi flicks as well as some political overtones of our present day. If the human race is to survive a nuclear war, what would the government do? Would the world fall into a one-government mommy state?"

Neil Ostroff (httpgoodreadscomneil_ostroff) | 271 comments Five Books!

That’s right! Get a summer’s worth of sci-fi/fantasy and adventure for one low price! Let your imagination run wild!
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L0K5FWW

AFTER - On the day we’re born we’re destined to die. But what lies after? For fifteen–year-old Nick Murray, death is only the beginning. His entire human life has been an illusion in preparation for the epic role his soul will play in the destiny of the universe.

DREAM TRAVELER - 300,000 years from now, human spirits called Phelastians are finally making peace with ape-like creatures called Dwellers. Formality requires that a twenty-first century Earthling be present as witness to the treaty. A Phelastian travels back in time and recruits Whitmore Middle School’s newest student, Jamie Richards. Can Jamie save trillions of lives, prevent a war that has already occurred, and stop herself from meeting herself, all while attempting to stabilize creation and find her way home?

THE END TIME - Bob Bradly is devastated when he learns that Jane, the love of his life, has only two days to live, but he’s even more mortified when he finds out how she dies. Driven to desperate acts to save her, Bob challenges the forces determined to take Jane away.

IMAGINATION - A botched military mission finds new recruit Christopher Parker in a hostile prison camp. His life has become pain. To escape the prolonged misery of torture, Christopher journeys deep into his own memories and imagination, reliving his life in extreme detail. Imagery is so precise the people who occupy these memories believe they are living real lives.

INSECTLAND - Tiny, dragon-like creatures hiding in our homes are going to harm us. They will shrink us to the size of ants, enslave us, and turn our world into their own. But there is hope. Legions of insect robots intent on stopping them have recruited high school sophomore Dan Larson for help. Thrust into danger, Dan risks everything in a desperate attempt to thwart an attack and prevent the end of society as we know it.

Virginia Llorca | 51 comments Sacred Sin

Can you love two people with complete passion? Do you feel something must be missing somewhere? Maybe not.

Jenny is preoccupied with doing what is right for her. Left on her own at an early age, she is determined to take the right steps to protect herself and be the person her mother expected her to be. She marries carefully, not always with love uppermost in her mind.

But that guy that taught her everything she knows about love is so deeply embedded in her heart and soul, no matter what Jenny chooses, he will always be there.

Sacred Sin, a modern love story, with a nod to the King Arthur legends, is the first of a family saga that blurs and sharpens the lines defining love, loyalty, and morality.

Adult language, mature situations, explicit content.

Annelie Wendeberg FREE bestselling Victorian thriller:

Best Sherlock Holmes novel 2014 (Awarded the "Blue Carbuncle" by the German Sherlock Holmes Society)

In Victorian London's cesspool of crime and disease, a series of murders remains undiscovered until a cholera victim is found floating in the city's drinking water supply. Dr Anton Kronberg, England's best bacteriologist, is called upon to investigate and finds evidence of abduction and medical maltreatment. While Scotland Yard has little interest in pursuing the case, Kronberg pushes on and crosses paths with Sherlock Holmes. The detective immediately discovers Kronberg's secret - a woman masquerading as a man in order to practice medicine - a criminal deed that could land her in prison for years to come. But both must join forces to stop a crime so monstrous, it outshines Jack the Ripper's deeds in brutality and cold-bloodedness.
Warning: This book contains non-explicit sex-scenes, explicit dissection scenes, violence, and considerable female power.

Mark Mortensen July 28th is the 100th Anniversary of the start of World War I. For those with a strong interest in a major segment of American participation and Marine Corps history I am offering two copies of my biography “George W. Hamilton USMC: America’s Greatest World War I Hero” (McFarland Publishing) on the “Goodreads Giveaways” site.

I’m comfortable with the current exposure of my biography as it is housed in some of America’s finest college and university libraries such as Stanford and Wake Forest. It has also served as a higher education textbook and at one notable university I was able to attend the class for a Q&A session. In addition, during this past year I had the opportunity and distinct honor to meet and share my book with two individuals each of whom served as U.S. Secretary of Defense.
