Allison Bruning | 2 comments My newest book: Relfections: Poems and Essays. It's been on the bestselling list for Native American Poetry and Inspirational/Religious Poetry.

"This is a book written from the heart of an author who appreciates the importance of the history of her people and of her country. Her essays on Native Americans are especially touching and interesting. This is a book that should rest on the shelf of every library in America."

Marja McGraw (marja1) | 569 comments They Call Me Ace was recently released in trade paperback and will soon be available in ebook format.

Marguerite Turnbal was a bestselling gothic mystery writer in the 1950s. A little on the eccentric side, she had her home renovated, adding secret compartments. In her later years she told her twin daughters, Coral and Carol, that there was a treasure to be found, and she gave them only one clue to its whereabouts.

Over twenty years after Marguerite’s death a young woman is murdered in the old empty house. Chris Cross’s parents have come for a visit. His mother, Judith, and his son, Mikey, want to solve their own mystery in true Cross family tradition. Judith, also a little eccentric, breaks into the house after seeing strange lights and finds the body – not quite the mystery she was hoping to find. The Bogey Man and his family are soon gumshoeing their way through life again, looking for a murderer and hidden treasure.

Blurb:
Atlantis Vortex is an erotic romance, high adventure with whirling mystery and intrigue. Secondary characters are as complex as the two main and add color to the on-going discovery of an ancient entrance to Atlantis by Archaeologist Jessica Carter. Xerxes Kallias, High Lord of Atlantis, supported by his undercover security forces pose as U.S. Marines to secure Jessica’s find and keep her safe.
Forced to combat a traitor in his midst in Atlantis, Xerxes has his hands full securing the ancient, hidden world while preparing to bring Jessica to his world to ensure her silence. With the upper-world closing in on Atlantis, a manic traitor planning sedition at any cost, and pagan Aztecs attempting to sacrifice his only love, Jessica, Xerxes manages to save her but must wait to bring her home to Atlantis.
Jessica, frustrated by the unexplained and strange events happening in her life vaguely remembers Xerxes from an encounter years before, but isn't sure who he is. When at last he kidnaps her to ensure her silence, claiming her as his wife she is furious, though her memory of him and his presence overwhelms her. She is sure he is the man she has dreamed of. Barbara Billig | 10 comments Barbara Billig • My fictional novel, "The Nuclear Catastrophe" is meant to entertain and to raise awareness of what we might all face at some time. Very little has been written on this subject that is not a deep non-fiction book. Yet, there are 442 nuclear power plants operating or under construction in the world as of January 2011. The United States has 104. Whether it is a terrorist dirty bomb or a nuclear melt down - we should know what is happening and be prepared. I hope you will take the time to read this. The anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear tragedy is coming up March 11. Thanks. Barbara Griffin Billig.

message 2195: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 9 comments In all probability, the silliest book on the planet:

Jambalaya by Philip Whiteland

It’s a time of Civil War; of cowboys and soldiers, riverboats and gamblers, genteel Southern Belles and dark deeds.

Celany Garden had it all – big house, doting wealthy parents and not one but two devoted lovers. So why is she being pursued by kidnappers? What has happened to her maid, and where does an Army Major called Agnes fit in? Can Celany beat the law, the army, and an enthusiastic posse in finding the answers? Everything hinges on a flatulent horse called Thunder, a General who hates loud noises and a psychopathic Marshall with a penchant for torture. Gone with the Wind was never like this!

If you like your humour a little on the silly side, and you're a fan of the great British tradition of word-play, stretching from 'The Goons' to 'The Two Ronnies', via the 'Carry On' series and Benny Hill for a healthy(?) dose of innuendo and double-entendre, then take a Look Inside, you might just find what you've been waiting for!

Philip Whiteland is well known for his hilarious collections of 'nostalgedy' childhood memoirs, 'Steady Past Your Granny's' and 'Crutches for Ducks'. This is his first foray into full-length fiction (and you try saying that after a night down the pub).

Gary J. | 5 comments Two books of mine that have just been released:

LONEWALKER
A MURDER OF WOLVES

inaripublishing.com, and from all the usual suspects.

I'll let the books and the reviews speak for themselves. Suffice it to say that these books, and the characters who inhabit them, are the real deal. There's hair on them, but so far most of the fan mail has come from women. The female characters more than hold their own, but that's not why.
