Rob Krabbe (robkrabbe) | 4 comments Ghost writer comes back to life: his own!

Greetings!

After years of making a living working on projects I was not allowed to mention, my new novel, releasing in my own name (Yea!) "The Jake Collins Band and the Fading Silence," is now available. Please go to http://www.krabbe.com to order your copy today!

(also available on Amazon and all on-line book sellers)

It is available in print, as well as eBooks/Kindle?ePub/Mobi etc.

Thank you for your kind attention!
Rob Krabbe

Here is the description:
Jake Collins had worked his whole young life to get to that night. Rock and roll, the big times. The boys knew they had made it. Three number one hits, a sold out amphitheater concert in Tinley Park, Chicago, and a five album deal.

The crowd was insane. The music was great. The energy was legendary.

But, what happened next was even bigger. Life, as they knew it, was suddenly and irrevocably changed by powers they could never have imagined in a million years.

Rock and roll, became life and death. The beginning of super-stardom, became the unexpected adventure of a lifetime, and the world they knew became the world that was never the same again.

Join Jake Collins, singer-songwriter, rock and roll star, and all around sexy guy; Ray, an old crazy librarian; Sa’li, a female Cherokee retro-warrior with a bad attitude; Drummer Dave, a optimistic drummer bordering on total madness; Mara, gorgeous deaf mute with a talent for scavenging and making conversation; Big T, a bear of a mountain man bent on revenge and some great barbeque; Bradley, a seven foot tall, 450 pound government created experimental killing machine with a childlike sense of humor, and Garcia Garcia, an East LA want-to-be, urbane refugee and ticket scalper, who was also a drag queen on alternate Thursday nights, as one world ends and another begins, in this thrilling adventure story that brought them all together to survive, make a new life, and try to figure out who they are becoming if they live through the day to find out.

Elizabeth Ely | 2 comments I recently published my first novel, Life's Attic. Thanks so much, Rick, for the LinkedIn invitation to post about it here. I'm so happy to have discovered such a great group!

From the Back Cover of Life's Attic:
In the fictional West Coast town of Clementine, Leanne Porter is about to meet Jay Hanson. There’s just one problem. Jay has AIDS. But will that stop them from loving each other? And what will their lives be as a result of this chance meeting?
Two thinkers who are great talkers, Jay and Leanne remain true to themselves, facing tough inevitabilities head-on with humour, optimism, and joy. Life’s Attic is a journey of hope and happiness amid the challenges of life and death. Life has many forms. So does love.

My website http://elizabethely.com has more information about the novel as well as a section about my former life as a professional harpist. There's also a blog component featuring posts on a range of subjects – everyday musings to animal and environmental concerns.

Life’s Attic Press Release http://elizabethely.com/2012/10/24/pr...

You can also “Look Inside” Life's Attic at any of the Amazon sites.

Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 53 comments Final Frontier is the latest novel:

In this sequel to New Frontier, the USS Lewis & Clark begin their search for the Soviet starship Yuri Gagarin. They find the wormhole that the Gagarin went through twelve years earlier and decide to go through it. On the other side, the crew of the Lewis & Clark find a solar system that used to be populated by aliens known as Pictorians, but they're no longer there. Neither is the crew of the Gagarin. So, the Lewis & Clark is flown back through the wormhole to report back to Earth.

Unfortunately, something is wrong, they find themselves 30 years in the past. As they struggle to wait for their future to catch up, the crew of the Lewis & Clark make changes to certain events, but they cause unintended consequences; including making another alien species mad enough to forbid humans from traveling beyond the Sol System. Find out what happens in this conclusion of the New Frontier series.

Chester | 11 comments The second book in my Post Cold War political thriller trilogy, The Poksu Conspiracy, is now available on Amazon for the Kindle. The Cold War has ended, but a reliable report reveals a plot that could throw the Far East into turmoil. Burke Hill, clandestine director for a Washington PR firm that's a CIA spinoff, is tasked to find the truth about a secret agreement for Israel to help South Korea develop nuclear weapons. The new Seoul government wants all U.S. troops to leave. A bomb decimates the North Korean leadership in Pyongyang, and Hill finds a diligent Seoul Metropolitan Police detective investigating a series of murders he believes are targeted at civilian leaders who favor close cooperation with America. Captain Yun Yu-sop identifies a ruthless Korean assassin who targets anyone who stands in the way, including Yun and Burke Hill.

Kristen Reed (kristenreed) | 1 comments If you like fantasy with a splash of action and romance, check out my book, The Kings' Council. It's on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and a few other websites.

The Kings' Council by Kristen Reed

Back cover description:
Long ago, the gods created the fey people in their image. The fire fey were created by the God of Fire, Hesta, while the water, wind, and earth fey were created by the other gods, Euria, Haizea, and Irati.

Those same gods passed their essence and powers into the bodies of the four most devout noblemen in the land, creating the first elemental kings of the fey.

The Eurian king was given the hands of water, the Haizean king was given the hands of wind, the Iratian king was given the hands of earth, and the Hestian king was given the hands of fire.

For thousands of years, those divine powers have been passed from each king to his firstborn prince… until now.

The Kings' Council is the story of Alazne Katarin Lorea Viteri, the princess of the fire fey.

When a rebellious thief frees the fire-wielding princess from the castle that has served as her prison since birth, she is forced to decide between taking the crown that is rightfully hers and living the life of a normal woman.

Peter Idone | 4 comments I've just joined today so I figure I should list the two novels I've written so far that are available. The first self published novel is The Sacrifice Areawhich I completed in Feb 2012. The second is RED VENGEANCEwhich was just recently published and is available as a giveaway. Although RED VENGEANCEwas published as my second novel it is actually my first but I had shelved it for a decade and wasn't even sure if I would publish it.It was for all intents and purposes completed in Dec of 2002 . Almost got an agent for it but almost doesn't count. I just didn't want to deal with any war topics back then. With Afghanistan in full swing and a war in Iraq looming on the horizon I was too depressed to peddle the topic. So,I let it lay . I tweaked the manuscript back in spring of this year and had it professionally edited (as I had with the The Sacrifice Area).

Virginia Llorca | 51 comments Do you have an Amazon Author Page? Have you ever looked at Author Central on Amazon? You can get to it easily by clicking on your name right on the page where your book is listed. They have a new rating feature that is very interesting. You can look at the graph for all books, all Kindle books, and each of several subcategories. The thing I don't understand though, is that my rating for two different books this week jumped from the bottom to the top of the graph in several categories and I can only trace this to a single sale as far as their KDP reports are concerned. Do any of you know about Amazon's algorithms? I did sign up as a reviewer this week so it seems coincidental, but some people have said they tie different things together in their algorithms (about which I know nothing). I am certainly not going to ask them and find out they made an error. The numbers are very comforting. I just wish it showed up in the royalty payment.
