The Last Prophet:

Technically science fiction, my 'Warden' novels are almost anti-fantasies, which poke a fair, or perhaps an unfair amount of good-natured fun at the serious tone and dependence on magic common to many epic fantasy adventure genre novels. With their charming and truly likeable characters, witty, intelligent humor, and prose style blending humorous science fiction and epic fantasy elements, they are a fun read. I believe they will appeal to readers of these genres who may be looking for something fresh and different.
Both books are available as trade paperbacks and e-books.

[bookcov..."Thank for the downloads. Are now waiting on my kindle. Anxious to read them.

Thanks, Rick! I appreciate your enthusiasm and support!

The only people who might strike terror in Chris and Pamela Cross’s hearts are the Church Ladies, who want them to find a missing friend. When the friend turns up on her own, Chris finds a new kind of terror—a Murder for Hire plot the woman has overheard.
Ride along in Chris’s 1950 vintage Chevy with the Church Ladies, his wife Pamela, their son Mikey, and two overzealous yellow Labrador Retrievers while they try to find not only a potential killer, but the intended victim.

That's great, Elizabeth. I really hope you enjoy them!

Hi Rick, I'm new to the group and delighted to see your book--will take a look. I'm a sucker for any good story with a dog (or cat) in it. *s*

I'm working on a companion volume for the puppy lovers in the group. Of course there are also the books for those with golden-oldies. I can't wait to share more news (when available) about my debut thriller that comes out this fall! Woot!

Awesome, Rick! I'll check out the Our Best Friends thread, I love pet pictures! My Seren-kitty is 14+ years YOUNG and still keeps the German shepherd whipper snapper in line. The Complete Care for Your Aging Dog might offer home care tips for your schnauzer, too--updated last year as well. *s*

An abandoned cabin…a diabolical killer…a hidden cemetery…a deadly secret is about to be uncovered.
Far from the neon blur of Manhattan – the dizzy buzz of restaurants, theater openings and one too many cocktails – located seventy-two miles outside the City in the sleepy, rural township of Montague, New Jersey, Sami Saxton is looking to rebuild her life. A rebirth, one might call it. And, she intends to do this spiritual resurrection in a small, abandoned fishing cabin, built over forty years ago by her deceased father.
Not quite abandoned…
A lethal serial killer has taken up residence in the basement of Sami’s remote cottage, using her father’s carpenter table for a hobby much more sinister than woodcutting.
Sequestered deep within forty-two acres of tall pine trees, bristling brooks and fresh water lakes, Sami Saxton is about to fight for her life.
The hard truth…nobody will ever hear her scream!

What a brilliant and absolutely simple idea. We're going to have to try to get our authors to post excerpts on their author pages.

On the run from “broken promises, cocaine and gin, wounds inflicted,” Terry Manescu turns to Alcoholics Anonymous for help. Abstinence alone fails to reform her, though; she resents the meetings, makes every effort to antagonize other AA members, and continues to chase the buzz by substituting sex for booze and drugs. She’s charming, bright, athletic, and not at all shy with the ladies, but also relentlessly self-destructive. Eventually she finds a lesbian AA group of women who’ve faced down their own demons and with their support, Terry learns to tame her rebellious streak and live with integrity.
Sexually charged, by turns harrowing and hopeful, Minus One: A Twelve-Step Journey is a tribute to the meetings and members of Alcoholics Anonymous.

"Inspired by such poets as Basho, Rumi, Shelley, Emily Dickinson, Richard Brautigan, and Bob Dylan, the lyric poems and drawings in Observations from the Moon reveal the intimate process of a woman experiencing transformation.
The poems are accompanied by the author's charcoal and pencil drawings of the feminine form, envisioned as if revealed by moonlight against the dark night. - Kindle eBook edition"
