D.L. Morrese (dl_morrese) | 25 comments The Warden Threat by D.L. Morrese The Warden War by D.L. Morrese
Technically science fiction, my 'Warden' novels are almost anti-fantasies, which poke a fair, or perhaps an unfair amount of good-natured fun at the serious tone and dependence on magic common to many epic fantasy adventure genre novels. With their charming and truly likeable characters, witty, intelligent humor, and prose style blending humorous science fiction and epic fantasy elements, they are a fun read. I believe they will appeal to readers of these genres who may be looking for something fresh and different.
Both books are available as trade paperbacks and e-books.

And spring is kitten season, with lots of litter-ary accidents all around! *s* BTW, look for the latest 2010 version, it's been updated.

I'm working on a companion volume for the puppy lovers in the group. Of course there are also the books for those with golden-oldies. I can't wait to share more news (when available) about my debut thriller that comes out this fall! Woot!

Here's what readers are saying about PERIGEE:

"A real barn-burner"
"...best darned 'sci-fi' book I've read in years."
"...it was a plain great story and great read. I didn't put it down until I finished it."

Stranded in orbit, with no way home before the air runs out…

At hypersonic speed, Polaris AeroSpace has become the premium choice for rapid travel around the world. When a veteran crew’s flight is marooned after a series of baffling malfunctions, they must try to stay alive knowing that help may never arrive.

While they struggle with dwindling life support and increasingly desperate passengers, their colleagues scramble to mount an audacious rescue. Racing against time, they will face shocking betrayals in a fight to save their friends.

As they unravel a web of industrial espionage, the truth will reveal itself to be worse than imagined. And one man will discover that escape may demand a terrible sacrifice.

PERIGEE opens the next chapter in air and space travel, where ordinary people must sometimes accomplish extraordinary things.

Untreed Reads (untreedreads) | 36 comments Come see why all the early reviews are raving about this gut-wrenching thriller. Untreed Reads is proud to bring A Perfect Husband to eReaders worldwide. Out now!

A Perfect Husband by Douglas Wickard A Perfect Husband by Douglas Wickard

An abandoned cabin…a diabolical killer…a hidden cemetery…a deadly secret is about to be uncovered.

Far from the neon blur of Manhattan – the dizzy buzz of restaurants, theater openings and one too many cocktails – located seventy-two miles outside the City in the sleepy, rural township of Montague, New Jersey, Sami Saxton is looking to rebuild her life. A rebirth, one might call it. And, she intends to do this spiritual resurrection in a small, abandoned fishing cabin, built over forty years ago by her deceased father.

Not quite abandoned…

A lethal serial killer has taken up residence in the basement of Sami’s remote cottage, using her father’s carpenter table for a hobby much more sinister than woodcutting.

Sequestered deep within forty-two acres of tall pine trees, bristling brooks and fresh water lakes, Sami Saxton is about to fight for her life.

The hard truth…nobody will ever hear her scream!

How to Purchase A Perfect Husband:

A Perfect Husband is $4.99 from The Untreed Reads Store in a variety of formats, including PDF, EPUB and Kindle formats. You’ll also find the titles at virtually every ebook retailer around the world including Amazon, B&N, Kobo, WHSmith and Waterstone’s.

Untreed Reads (untreedreads) | 36 comments Untreed Reads is proud to bring this unflinching look at self-destruction, recovery and relapse to eReaders. Always honest but always sympathetic, Minus One: A Twelve Step Journey is now available worldwide.

Minus One A Twelve-Step Journey by Bridget Bufford Minus One: A Twelve-Step Journey by Bridget Bufford

On the run from “broken promises, cocaine and gin, wounds inflicted,” Terry Manescu turns to Alcoholics Anonymous for help. Abstinence alone fails to reform her, though; she resents the meetings, makes every effort to antagonize other AA members, and continues to chase the buzz by substituting sex for booze and drugs. She’s charming, bright, athletic, and not at all shy with the ladies, but also relentlessly self-destructive. Eventually she finds a lesbian AA group of women who’ve faced down their own demons and with their support, Terry learns to tame her rebellious streak and live with integrity.

Sexually charged, by turns harrowing and hopeful, Minus One: A Twelve-Step Journey is a tribute to the meetings and members of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Bridget Bufford Bridget Bufford grew up in St. Louis and lives now in mid-Missouri where she leads creative writing workshops and designs edible landscapes. Her novel Cemetery Bird has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize; shorter works have appeared in numerous small litmags and fat anthologies. Visit her website.
