Belle Deville is a Civil Rights lawyer, news commentator, and single parent. Although deceased in the book’s opening, she still has tremendous control over daughter Brianna’s mind.
Brianna Deville is the protagonist. She is a feminist/activist in her early forties and has never been married. She is afraid of giving or receiving commitments because of her mother’s constant warnings about distrusting men. She never meets her father; her parent’s relationship ends before she is born. This weighs on Brianna’s mind for years.
Then there is Brianna’s guardian angel sent by Belle to protect her daughter after her death. Mirror-Lady is an apparition and appears in Brianna’s bathroom mirror at will with words of caution and warns if she doesn't open her heart she will have a loveless existence and die like her mother--alone.
"Whispers from the Mirror" is available in paperback on amazon.com. I'm preparing to publish it in eBook format.

Thank you, Rick, for the opportunity to talk about my latest novel.

It was plain to see from the moment Wilhelmina arrived at his country estate that the devastatingly handsome Blake, Viscount Dangerfield, disapproved of most everything about her.The codicil to his father’s will came as an unpleasant shock to Blake, Viscount Dangerfield.

Moral Authority is a dystopian gay novel set in America of 2050, where homosexuality is a crime, cursing is a punishable offense, and lifestyle legislation keeps American citizens on a prescribed moral path. Yet the moral age comes at a price. Americans either live like mindless cattle or in fear. Told from three points of view, Mark, the brash young hero who finds love in the most desolate of places; Isaac, the renegade, who searches for redemption; and Samuel the dictatorial megalomaniac intent on maintaining his power, Moral Authority exposes what happens to a nation that continues to restrict, instead of broadening, civil rights.
You can read a couple of excerpts from my books Sex, Death & Mind Control (for fun and profit) and Self-help for Stoners on my GR blog at http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/....
I have three books out right now and novels on the way.
Sex, Death & Mind Control is a dark collection of suspenseful short fiction which includes two award-winners. This book comes dangerously close to a how-to on controlling people, body and mind. Each story ends with a gut punch of surprise and discovery.
Self-help for Stoners, Stuff to Read When You're High is a book of parables, brain tickles and exhortations which reaches back to Vonnegut for inspiration in that these are short stories with a point, unselfconscious and unapologetic. No, you don't have to be a stoner to enjoy the suspense and surprise.
I read excerpts from this book each week on my comedy podcast Self-help for Stoners, Stuff to Listen to When You're High (subscribe on iTunes or download from my readers' site allthatchazz.com).
If you're a writer, you may also enjoy my writing blog, chazzwrites.com.
The Dangerous Kind is a novelette about two brothers who have just lost their father. With tension mounting over their inheritance, the pair enter the Maine woods to hunt deer. Only one will ever see home again in this twisted and twisty tale of psychological horror.
The novels (a coming-of-age thriller, a post-apocalyptic odyssey through the eyes of an autistic boy and a mystery) are coming in 2012.

Rick suggested I make mention of my new psychological thriller, The Lion, the Lamb, the Hunted. Many of you helped make my first novel, While the Savage Sleeps a #1 bestseller, and I'm so grateful for it. http://www.amazon.com/Small-Histories...
From the front page news story to major historical events, these stories explore the intersection between ordinary private lives and public events. Alex joins up with a nomadic group seeking to expose themselves to lightning strikes. Two women meet up in San Francisco during World War Two to share their grief over the loss of their shared lover. A competitive runner makes headlines as he grapples with a streak of losses. No one here is a celebrity or a public figure, these are normal people, whose sense of personal meaning and loss becomes, for a time, the purview of public sympathy and scrutiny.
