M.A. Leslie (MALeslie) | 7 comments Hello everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about our newest self published release, Liberty. Liberty is a paranormal romantic thriller that is in the adult realm, but falls close to YA.

It isn't vampires and creepy-crawlies, but instead focuses on the inner eye of the mind and just what happens when a person starts seeing through the eyes of another. Is she losing her mind or finally finding control of it?

Thanks for giving us a chance to tell you about our book and just to let you know, it is only 99 cents as an EBook on the Nook and Kindle. The paperback is a bit more, but either way, we just want to tell a story.

Edited chapter 4 today of my Raker Chronicles eBook IV-Blinded by Fury, for Sept. release-5 ebooks in 5 months is tough...but it's sure moving right along. The final ebook, Into the Flames, will be out in October. There's some great Mexican food described in Book IV--made all the Digi-Tall Media editing team very, very hungry!! It's based on great meals I've enjoyed at Paseo del Norte cafe in Juarez, many years ago.

Yep...been a bit busy! My wife just gave me a tshirt today with our new Thriller Publications logo on it...and across the top of the logo it says "Buy the damn book!" How subtle can we get?? I love it. That's what I say at the end of the video on my website, which is 98% finished except for finding my older blog entries! you can see it at http://www.thrillerpublications.com (I'd upload the logo but can't figure out how!!)

Love it! I need a t-shirt like that for my book!

Could you scan it into your computer, then attach it here? Don't know if we can add attachments???

With help from a friend, I'm putting together a book trailer for Darlin' Druid. Hope to have it up in a few days. I found a beautiful, haunting piece of music for it on danosongs.com. It's sort of a mix of Native American, Celtic and "spacy" - perfect for a paranormal western. ~~Lyn

CATCH

Is only 0.99c on Kindle for a limited time : )) Enjoy!

A few reviews:

description
"As one of Vince Flynn's first readers, this guy is better" - C.C (Literary Professional)

"Awesome book, well researched and technically perfect, as a SWAT instructor I get picky about the fine points in some books, this was perfect. Absolutely gripping story, couldn't put it down."

"There is never a dull moment in this story.
Bravo to Author Quirk for giving us complex characters to love and hate. As Catch and Hallie are pursued from all directions, their relationship as well as their characters develop. He puts the reader right into the settings and action with his very vivid descriptions. I for one, could not wait to turn the page(or in the case of a kindle - to press the next page button.) I didn't want it to end! The story is nicely tied up at the end, but leaves just that little bit to make the reader hope for a sequel, or maybe even a Catch Harris series."

message 721: by [deleted user] (new)

message 722: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey Liam,

Upload the cover to your book to Goodreads and direct me to it(or just paste on your reply). I'll format the html code for you then return.
As for the book link; just search for your name and book just below the subject line then select your book and voila.

Thanks, Sean! My publisher was pretty quick in getting my ISBN registered, so I was able to use the "add a book" function and enter all the info. The cover art is being worked on so the photo I uploaded is my publisher's default "Coming Soon" image. Then I was able to join up as a Goodreads author. I wish I had this option on Amazon!

Hope this helps! :o)

message 732: by Norm (new)

Norm (normcowie) | 13 comments Hi, all.

I'm a fantasy humor writer. My new book is offbeat caveman. Here are some details along with my previous works.

Bonk & Hedz ... a caveman ... and woman ... story
Bonk and his mate Hedz are just an ordinary caveman and cavewoman struggling with the everyday existence that comes when one's place in the food chain isn't all that clear. Then a little caveman shows up and convinces them a neighboring tribe is amassing weapons of mass destruction in preparation for an assault on their village, and everything changes...with hilarious results.

The Adventures of Guy
Somebody stole Seth's brain, not that he was using it anyway. To recover it, his brother Guy and college roommates Knob and Thurman must take on sinister forces using only their wits, knowledge of beer and an Amazon Warrior, whose breasts, like the Big Gulp, are too big for the cup holder. "Humorous fantasy at its best..." Armchair Interviews. Named a "Top Ten Novel of the Year" Pop Syndicate

The Next Adventures of Guy
Every "Quest" has to have a sorcerer, an elf, a warrior, special effects...and most of all, a sequel. So in the hilarious sequel to The Adventures of Guy, Guy and his college buddies, Knob and Thurman, take on a new quest...to save Earth from alien invasion. Winner of Preditors and Editors Readers Choice award for Best Sci-fi fantasy.

Fang Face
Erin has been bitten twice by a vampire, and is turning into an Undead with a taste for blood smoothies. Her friends and family decide they like her more as normal teen, so they gear up to protect her from the third bite that will turn her into a coffin sleeper forever. "I loved this book, fangs and all," New York Times best-selling author James Rollins "Fantastically funny," BookLoons "Don't miss this gem," Shane Gericke, national best-selling author. “...genuinely funny..." Taliesin - The Vampire's Lair. Five-starred by Amazon top reviewer Harriet Klausner.

WereWoof
Two teens-turned-weredogs use their newfound powers of Kibbles and Bits to battle turncoat werewolves and bloodsucking vampires and save their friend from the pointy toothed villains. A stand-alone sequel to Fang Face. "...clever one-liners..." Constance Hullander, author of Snowstorm. "Like a fun vacation..." Ophelia Julien, author of Saving Jake

The Guy'd Book ... why we leave the seat ... and other stuff
A tongue in cheek training manual for women so they can understand what makes guys guys. Why we leave the toilet seat up, why we will do anything on a dare ... essentially, what makes us tick. Fun stuff previously published in the Chicago Tribune, Cynic Magazine and other places. Brought to you in beautiful black and white by award-winning author Norm Cowie. "A hilarious piece of work..." Scott Doornbosch, author of Basic Black

Available in book and ebook (ebook prices between $1 and $3). My Amazon link is http://amzn.to/l9d9Ya

Minnie (minnieestelle) | 148 comments Reintroducing my novel for new members.

4.0 out of 5 stars Guardian Angel, August 7, 2011
By OOSA Online Book Club "O.O.S.A. Gets It Read!" (World Wide Web, USA) - See all my reviews
(VINE VOICE) This review is from: Whispers From The Mirror (Paperback)
Brianna Deville is the daughter of Belle Deville, a lawyer who fought against sex discrimination and for civil liberties. Brianna is quickly following in her mother's footsteps. Because of Belle's influence, Brianna is very guarded as far as her heart is concerned and doesn't trust men. Although Brianna has her share of men in her life, are they there to stay? When Brianna opens up a little, the "Mirror-Lady" appears and brings her back to earth. Will Brianna find the right man or will she end up alone like her mother?

In "Whispers from the Mirror," Minnie Miller writes a story that will keep readers engrossed throughout the whole book. I look forward to her next book.

Mathieu Gallant (Entropiated) | 19 comments Back in my younger days, before I could grow a beard or talk to girls…

I used to create “end of the world” sketches on the chalkboard in class. This was back before Columbine, when teachers and school administrators could still afford to have a sense of humor about these things.

In the final few minutes before the bell I’d get up from my seat, grab the biggest nub of chalk I could find and start to draw my latest idea for how it’ll all end. Morbid? Certainly. But entertaining as hell for me and my classmates. I’d always try lighten things up by putting a comedic twist on it somehow, usually with funny captions and exaggerated plot lines. But to me – on the inside – considering the “end of the world” was always serious business.

Fast forward a fifteen years and here I am, unshaven, awkward talking to girls (some things will NEVER change) and still tackling the same subject matter, albeit in a different medium. My novel, Outage, is my latest end-of-the-world sketch.

Over 145,000 words, I describe the events from the point of one man, Robert Jones Hendricks. I’ve been working on this book for about five years, in my spare time. For the past two years I’ve worked with Governor General Award winning poet Anne Compton to get it ready for public consumption.

Anne Compton is NOT a science fiction type, but she’s read it through a number of times already and is interested enough to help me work on the sequel, tentatively entitled “Earthship Phoenix.” So if a literary, grounded person like that can get into it, I think that speaks well for the quality of the work.

Outage is available for sale in Kindle format (on Amazon.com) for a very reasonable $0.99. But in the interest of getting readers I'm willing to give it away. If you're interested, just send a note to “mathieud_gallant@hotmail.com” and I’ll send it along. All I ask in return is a few moments of your time to write a review if you are so moved.
