Joseph (jazzman) My two latest stories have already been picked up for 2012 publication in two top literary magazines next year.As you know, such literary magazines are amazing difficult to break into and continue to publish only the finest writers. My "Story Cloth," is scheduled to appear in the 2012 Spring issue of Potomac Review. The very controversial(and very sad)"The Honey Wagon," will appear in the 2012 Summer issue of the prestigious North Carolina Literary Review.
Please make a note of these dates and continue to support one of the last places where important writing still survives. Thanks.

Best.

S.D. | 16 comments I'm trying another banner ad today. It only runs for one day, 8/1. Just below the ad is a sample chapter. I used the prologue if you'd like to read a sample. This is one of the books in my mystery/paranormal series and based on an actual murder that took place in my hometown back in the 1970s. http://redadeptreviews.com/sponsor-re...

Nicholas Book One: The Growing Dim Project

Just thought I would announce that I have made my latest ebook FREE here on goodreads only.

This is an appreciation for the people who helped me promote the contest I had in July. I may change it back to it's normal price of $2.99, but unsure yet.

If anyone has trouble downloading or obtaining the file from goodreads, let me know and I'll see if I can help out.

Nicholas.

Joseph (jazzman) I have come to the conclusion that most of us are the same: We like to post our achievements but care little for those of others. I'm not at all bitter-just realistic. I think it simply "goes with the territory." It's a rough business and many times the only award is the one we give ourselves.
BTW, check out my "advertisement for myself just above."

Lyn Horner Howdy fellow authors,
My first book DARLIN' DRUID is available on Amazon and B&N. The first volume in my Texas Druids trilogy, it's a fast-paced historical romance peppered with dashes of Irish Druid magic. It has ten 5-star reviews on Amazon, the latest a real winner. The reviewer said:

"Wow! This was by far the best book I have read this year, possibly ever. I couldn't put it down once I began reading. I can't wait to read more from this author."

Marja McGraw (marja1) | 569 comments I'm new to this group, but it appears we can comment on our new books here, so I will. I've read the other posts with interest and I can see I need to add to my TBR pile.

My newest book, Old Murders Never Die, just came out in July. It's the story of a female P.I. and her partner who become stranded in a ghost town in current time. It involves a mysterious cowboy and a series of murders that occurred in Wolf Creek, Arizona in 1880. There is drama in the book, but there's also some humor and a little adventure. Oh, and part of the mystery is that many of the town's inhabitants just picked up and left, leaving their personal belongings behind. Hmm. I wonder what happened in that town.

I write with the hope of entertaining readers. No, I haven't written the Great American novel. However, although I'm with a very small publisher, I'm pleased to say that Old Murders Never Die was their #1 bestseller for July. This is the fifth book in the Sandi Webster mysteries.

Minnie (minnieestelle) | 148 comments For our newbies, my novel "Whispers from the Mirror" was given a 4-star rating

4.0 out of 5 stars Guardian Angel, August 7, 2011
By OOSA Online Book Club "O.O.S.A. Gets It Read!" (World Wide Web, USA) - See all my reviews
(VINE VOICE) This review is from: Whispers From The Mirror (Paperback)
Brianna Deville is the daughter of Belle Deville, a lawyer who fought against sex discrimination and for civil liberties. Brianna is quickly following in her mother's footsteps. Because of Belle's influence, Brianna is very guarded as far as her heart is concerned and doesn't trust men. Although Brianna has her share of men in her life, are they there to stay? When Brianna opens up a little, the "Mirror-Lady" appears and brings her back to earth. Will Brianna find the right man or will she end up alone like her mother?

In "Whispers from the Mirror," Minnie Miller writes a story that will keep readers engrossed throughout the whole book. I look forward to her next book.

Lyn Horner Hey Mountainmama, good to see you here. I looked at your son's book trailer again. The music is intense, the plot sounds scary. I might have to get it!

Weeks and weeks ago I asked if you would help me put together a trailer for Darlin' Druid. You said yes, then I got sidetracked with the blog series I've been hosting. Would you still be willing to help me? I'd certainly appreciate it. Lyn

mountainmama (jcallenbooks) | 27 comments Lyn, of course I'd still help you with a book trailer! I have so much fun doing them. Have you had a chance to look for pictures to use? I joined clipart.com for a week (for $15 and downloaded a zillion clips to use in the future), but you can also find clips other places, or take your own pictures! I used Pond5.com for my music (I think it cost $10 to buy the rights), but found another site that only asks that you credit his music.

Find 10-12 pictures and e-mail them to me with the cover art, and I'll get started!

Hi, MM I found a website dreamstime.com that had free for any use pictures along with pictures that you could buy the commercial license on for as low as a dollar. I spent $35 to make all 4 of my videos and I still have 8 credit points left over to use later. If you go to my website http://www.charityparkerson.com and scroll down to the bottom of the screen there is a quick link posted that should take you to the free photo section. I hope this helps anyone looking for some great photos. They had something on every subject. You wouldn't believe the combination of words that I typed into the search engine and up popped pages of pics.

Sorry for busting in :)

Lynn Hardy (lynnhardy) | 2 comments Prophecy of the Flame by Lynn Hardy is a book I have self-published and donated to a 501(c)(3) to help the families that are hit hard by the recession.

In June I was approached by a Hollywood Producer. The nationwide movie is to be released in 2013. There's a lot of info at my facebook page - revamped with a cool app:

http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid...

We have the resources to make this more than a typical indie movie, but we could use your help to get this movie the MPAA rating so we can premier in every theater across the nation as we intend.

We just need people to LIKE our page so the MPAA can't deny us our rating.

Thank you for your consideration in supporting this Movie Project.
