The "little rat that could" - my short story Ratticus needs one more "like" on Facebook to become a real boy - or something like that - not sure what magically occurs when a page reaches 25 friends something about the way it can be viewed, etc.
Help me out by "liking" Ratticus on Facebook please!!
Raymond
author of Ratticus: A True Tale from Critter Corner
One Man. One Rat. One Of Them MUST Die!!

The small town of Woodbury wears a dark shroud, a past in which speaks of a stranger who once called himself the Pied Piper ridding out a rat infestation long ago. Executed by a selfish king who could not fathom the thought of another stealing his spotlight, the Piper swore vengeance.
Tonight, many years later, the Shadow Out Of The Sky, the evil entity of the Pied Piper returns. It cleaves into the flesh of each and every child, possessing them, using them as a puppeteer would with his puppets, moving their strings to make them not only slaughter their parents, but each and every adult.
Until then please feel free to check out my FREE EBOOK at Smashwords.com entitled DARK PLACES OF REST.
Reviews are appreciated. :)

For a different purpose, I bought Ivona text-to-speech reader last January. Last Wednesday, I decided to listen to my story (The one I’m currently working on), and while listening to it, I found a lot of mistakes; mistakes that are usually hard for me to find without reading through it a dozen times or more.
I’m not affiliated with Ivona in anyway, so this is not a sales pitch. I just wanted to share what had helped me to proofread.

Great idea. I didn't even know such a thing existed. Thanks,

I have two books out and currently accepting anonymous submissions for my next one on body image. It's a blog now but will eventually become a book.
The link has all the info: Submit your anonymous story and read others.

My first book The Virgin Diaries is a collection of stories from men and women, gay and straight on what it feels like emotionally and physically to have first time sex. It is a reource for virgins to make an informed decision as well as for parents who wish to find a easier way to have "the talk." It is not gratuitous or vulgar. It has gotten great reviews, many on here. The Virgin Diaries
My second book, relesed in May 2011 is titled Ain't No Sunshine: Men Reveal The Pian Of Heartbreak. Thirty-eight anonymous men describe in detaikl what it feels like to lose romantic love. Ain't No Sunshine: Men Reveal the Pain of Heartbreak

I don't quite get the second issues - men and romantic love. You mean when I've spent hours waxing my car and a bird poops on it? Or, well, the BoSox pitching lineup? When I scratched my 1969 Jazzmaster on the drummer's crash cymbal? (that, I have never gotten over).
Help me understand. You're not talking about men and women are you? No, couldn't be.
Sean

My protagonist is Skinner Malloy, in my mystery, "Sharp9th", former combat Marine and rock musician. He's got trouble expressing himself at times, especially to to his friend, Gillian Carroll, who's been attacked and badly abused.
They're both damaged. They're confused, frightened in a way of what they may feel for each other.
So, Skinner writes this song to Gillian. Ah, actually, I wrote it, because I'm the author, but Skinner is the narrator, so, he, you get the picture... (Yes, it's a real song, out on on one of my albums, Into the Violets, by Glory Box, iTunes).
So, here's a tease for my book, and a song...
Songs from Sharp 9th
Don’t think I’m Thinking About You Cronin/Pappas
I’m in barroom around closing time
And even the bar girl says that ain’t a good sign
Well you can think that I’m lonely and blue,
But don't think I’m thinking about you
Well this girl's my new friend and she's sure looking fine
She says, loosen up, baby, let's have a good time
Oh, but her eyes, they look like yours do
But don't think I'm thinking about you
Bridge
You think you hurt me, but I’ve been hurt before
Till I just can’t be hurted no more
I wound up ground up, I’m beat and sore
But it ain't you who hurt me, I'm sure, I'm sure
There's mist on the water, there's dark on the land
I'll crawl to the river, I can't hardly stand
My tears keep falling, the night fills with dew,
But don't think I'm thinking about you

This is a start to a very long series I hope to write throughout the years. Already, I've written two other novels in this series, yet to be published...

Just (finally) got my novel "Sharp 9th" on Kindle Books. It's been on Amazon for a month, doing okay, but maybe expensive to some. So it's now inexpensive, $3.99, to get folks to try it. Good, book, If I may. And, I'll proudly say, recommended by Rick Friedman, founder of this group. Well, here's the link...

Midnight Sin
Walking the Corporate Beat: Police School for Business People

My name is JMcManus and I started writing children stories years ago, it came out of a desire to create characters I felt my daughter could relate to. From a desire to create stories that would excite her imagination when she laid in bed at night.
It also comes from a desire to do something that I truly love ... and that is to create new worlds, new people and new stories. (One of my favorite things to do when I create my stories is building the worlds and creating the characters.)
Please take time to check out my books.
