message 204: by [deleted user] (new)

i have never experenced anything like it before
but still, you gotta love peter jackson
LORDOFTHERINGS4eva

message 210: by [deleted user] (new)

Really, i though peter jackson is directing it
i know there was a whole court suit against him and it even went to court- they thought they should give it to someone else to direct
but all i have to say, if they do well then... if they stuff it up
man all the people that are going to pissed off *shakes head*

message 211: by [deleted user] (new)

message 212: by [deleted user] (new)

OK, news on the hobbit
there is going to be two hobbit movies
and yes, it isn't directed by Peter Jackson, its gong to be Gillermo del Toro
who did Hellboy 2 and pans labryrinth
(which, might i add, although is in russian (or is it german) it is REALLY good!!! XD)
but of course, they couldn't totally kick peter jackson out, so, along with Gillermo and a few other people, he is going to be part of the screenwriter team.
I'm guessing he is going to have a close eye on the progression to... ;)

isnt Pans Labrynth spanish?
Yes, AVATAR was pretty good, special effects amazing, but i enjoyed LOVELY BONES much more

message 214: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) yeah i think peter's just going to produce it or something, but still...i think he's the best director out there. i mean, take his most recent film: he took a morbidly depressing book and made it enjoyable.
you rule, PETE

Pans Labyrinth is spanish! i want to see that movie!! i've heard that its very good, but its disturbing at the same time...

message 216: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, Pans Labyrinth is really good- and diffently disturbing at time (theres torture and stuff and the wife pregnet and stuff :S)
I just walk out the room for those parts
and yeah, i own it.
The first time is a bit iffy, but its good the rest.
and yeah, Peter Jackson is AWESOME!

hehe, just like my besties lol

message 237: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) hmmm im just going to insert myself in here to say:
been to both places, and i'd pick an australian accent ANY DAY over a british one.
but then again, british accents kinda vary. they sound either cockney or really hoarse and stuff like in yorkshire or nothern england...and sometimes just downright funky. but then again, americans talk differently. my sweet adorable roommate for example has a real "twangy" voice, haha, she's a southerner.
but yeah okay, basically to summarize:
aussie accents are much cuter than british accents, imo! teehee
