Dylan got it posted for you Lindy. It is up in your team thread.
Is there a way that you can search a book for words if you don't have it on Kindle/NOOK? Like, online or something? I'm sure I'll want to use paperbacks eventually, but I wouldn't know how to search them for the words.
You can search most books on Amazon. All you do is click on the book cover and if you can search the book there will be a search bar in the pop-up window.
Amazon doesn't have a lot of the new books that you can search so for the new books try Google books

Sweet ~ Thanks!!
Lindy, we only claim points when the whole team have read a certain item. For example, to claim the point for window, all of us have to read a book and claim window.
Sorry Lindy, Dyllan is right on both questions. If you want to maximize your points early on try to coordinate with your team to read the same items each week.
We agreed beforehand reading which items we wanted. This game is always one part luck, since we can't predict which item will be called next. What if we are getting the same items, and the one we need last isn't called on time? It's pretty much luck.
Dyllan, The Brazuca Ekaterina wrote: "We agreed beforehand reading which items we wanted. This game is always one part luck, since we can't predict which item will be called next. What if we are getting the same items, and the one we n..."Yup in the end it does come down to the luck of the draw.
Maybe then on Friday afternoon we should post the words int he book we are going to read. I have lots of choices ont he one i am readng has:desk, table, bed
tea
wolf,
cat, wolf, horse
Lindy, this is the Rules Thread. Here is the link to our team thread. Post any idea you have in there and we will talk about it okay?

Oooooooh It is such a nail bitter this round. Who is going to get bonus points? 14 out of 40 people still haven't posted a book for the week and there are about 8 hours to go. I keep waiting for the rush of posts to come in and their not coming. Hopefully they'll be there in the morning.
Dyllan, The Brazuca Ekaterina wrote: "Dawn, until when do we have available to post? Is it 6am?"I try to post between 7 & 8 am MST.
I will state that today was the last day of school for my kids and they are looking forward to sleeping in so it may be on the late side... however my luck I will plan to sleep in and be awake at 5am and not be able to go back to sleep.

Ok, preemptive question aswering becasue I know it'll be asked. If you have already claimed the word "Dog" you must still read a book with Dog this week. You won't get another point for the word dog, but you will still get bonus points and can claim other items.

Ok, pimping out another groups team challenge here. SOS is getting ready to do their bookshelf bingo and needs 1 more person to even out teams.
Book shelf bingo sign up
So anyone who wants to take on another team challenge head over and sign up.
Just joined the group and signed up :) my other bookshelf bingo is almost done, so this is good timing!
Alyssa wrote: "I can't believe I missed the SOS bingo sign-ups! I've played like every time. :-("That's a bummer Alyssa, I had the same thing happen with Fantasyland.
Alyssa wrote: "I can't believe I missed the SOS bingo sign-ups! I've played like every time. :-("I know, it was kind of a bummer there was no announcement. I caught it only by seeing someone elses post when I signed up.
Maybe you all will get lucky and she'll have enough to add one more team. There were quite a few people who said they'd be back ups.
You're right Dawn, With one more person, I think they could form one more team, which would make 11 members per team.
Team Sienna also has finished Table with Melanie's post 148 on 5/30. It is on your spreadsheet but you didn't list it in the post with our items claimed.

Ok, so after posting the scores the spreadsheet had a hiccup and I accidentally deleted all the 6's. I think I have it all put back together, but captains can you please double check to make sure your team has all the right items claimed.
Books mentioned in this topic
Dead Silence (other topics)Watchers (other topics)

If you've finished your book and can post a "starter" post to claim the book done then go back and update the quotes from a computer tomorrow I'll take it. I know it is horrid trying to do it on a phone.
