Dawn, I can't remember this from last time. We need to start the book only after you call the items right? Unlike in Rapid Readers Scavenger Hunt? Or can we use a book if the items claimed are in the section we read after the weekly item is called?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered. I couldn't find this in the rules, or I must have blindly skipped past it. I still haven't drunk my morning coffee.

Ok personal life update.

I have an unplanned trip come up for the weekend. I am a Girl Scout Leader and another troop had planned a camping trip and one of their drivers can't make it so to make sure those girls still get to go on this trip they have worked so hard for I volunteered to drive. Such a hard ship because I love camp. Anyway, I will be out of internet range again this weekend after about 4pm today (about 8 hours from now).
I will be around off and on to answer questions today, Lizz and Jennifer will be around this weekend. Looking at teams I think there is at least one returning player on each team so hopefully there shouldn't be any major questions that can't be answered. But I just wanted to let you all know why I won't be answering questions until Sunday night.

Remember it's just a game and have fun!

We are going to make it fun... the campsite had 13 inches of snow on Wednesday. Daily temps are only going to in the high 40's. It will be a unique adventure if nothing else.

Good thing we are in a cabin/condo with heat! I know it's not really camping but in Colorado in May you only rough it so far with city girls.

so the words are ghosts and coffee, can it be a variation of chosts, like shostly?

How can you cliam 4 itens when there are only 2 words, or do you find the word repeated in the book?

There are 4 categories (or 'types' of things to find) ... of the words in these categories, there is one 'called' item (your read book for this week MUST contain this word) and one 'bonus' word (it CAN contain this word, but doesn't have to)

for the called word- you cannot claim any other word on that category for your book this week, BUT you can find one word per category of the other categories in this book for 'extra' finds

So if coffee is our word, you must pick a book with coffee and you cannot claim any other words on the food list, but you can find 1 word each from home furnishings, animals, etc.

So there is a maximum of 5 each week

this week:
coffee (food)
ghost (bonus)
1 animal word on list
1 home furnishing word on list
1 architectural word from list

I was just checking in to post that there are less than 24 hours to get your reviews in to get the bonus points. You can still claim the coffee point after that, just not the ghost.

It is a little vague, but I already gave you points for it as a foyer. Entryway is usually a hallway entry room, so a smaller version of a foyer.

No, it needs to be in the architectural sense a structure, a container of water meant for people to get in. Those both imply it is just a puddle which is not the same thing.
