Zoey Redbird - Bad person or Not

Stop bringing real life into fictional books? Isn't that what you just did by bringing up battered wives and gay people? Looks like real life scenarios are only acceptable when they help you, huh?

Really you dumb bitch? The woman that gets beat doesn't chose it? Hmmm last time I checked I have free will. I could walk away or call the police and have it stopped. Why can't she? I know, because she fucking choose to get beat because she thinks she deserves it. So shut the fuck up you stupid ignorant bitch. You're ability to comprehend things is severely lacking. Just because a person feels or thinks a certain way doesn't mean it's true.
Anyways, i'm done with all you little fucking ignorant dumb bitch's that can't comprehend a fucking thing. Go fuck yourselves and have a nice day :)

That was just an example of why just because she thinks she cheats doesn't mean she is. Wow you're so fucking stupid. I wasn't bringing real life into it. I was trying to get your dumb fucking brain dead ass to get the fucking point. I see that is impossible because you're to fucking dumb.
I feel sorry for your parents. Having a child as dumb as you must be hard

Sorry but I have to agree with Shelly on this.
Leaving isn't always an option? Sorry, but it is. She would have to chose to stay, leaving is always an option.

No, it really isn't. Abusive partners will isolate their victims to they have nowhere to turn to, they'll take their money, they'll build up debt in their partner's name, they'll even physically keep people from leaving. Leaving is not always an option. Sometimes the only way a woman gets out of an abusive relationship is after she's horribly scarred for life, or her abuser is dead or in prison. And that doesn't always happen. Abusers will follow their victims across the fucking country. I know, because that happened to my grandma, among countless other women. I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but this is just how I feel. Abuse is a touchy subject for me, and to hear someone say that a woman chose to be beaten just really pisses me off.

How is leaving not an option? Please explain that. I'm pretty sure you would have to chose to stay, unless you were locked up in a dungeon or something.
And no, I have never been in an abusive relationship, because I would CHOSE to leave. If you don't leave an abusive relationship, it's because you chose to stay

Abusers can do any number of things to keep their partner with them. They’ll take their money, leaving them no way to survive on their own. They’ll isolate them from friends and family so they have nobody to lean on for support. They’ll physically stop their victim from leaving. They’ll use children as leverage. They’ll use threats of violence to keep their victim compliant. Victims are taught by their abusers that there’s no help for them, and after so long of hearing it, they start to believe it. Leaving is not always an option, because even if you do work up the courage to leave, you can be tracked down and killed or scarred for life. It happens all the time. Just because you think you could choose to leave an abusive relationship doesn’t mean other people can.

Sorry but you're wrong, leaving is always an option. The reasons you listed are not actually reasons. They are excuses to stay. Leaving is always an option. You call the cops, you buy a gun, you do whatever you have to to get away. If you stay, then you chose to stay. The police and psychiatrist or whatever the ones the help you deal with mental trauma, will tell you the same.

And just because Zoey thinks she's cheating doesn't mean she is.
Have a nice day dumb bitch :)

Why so mean? Jeez lighten up, it's just a book and its just their opinion. Everyone has different opinions on what makes people what. You say she's not a whore, so to you she's not. They say she is so to them she is. That's just the way it is.

No she didn't. She only dated 3 guys and slept with one that she wasn't dating. That's not a whoooole lot

So, Zoey was dating Heath (human) and Erik (vampire)at the same time when she had sex with Loren. And then (After Loren died) she kept things going with Heath and Erik and then she started..."
she hasn't sleep w/ heath though, and Erik sounded like a dick, i like Stark way better!

Hey, I don't blame her for having so many guys around. She's pretty hot and interesting. If the guys don't mind having to compete for her attention, then let the boys hav..."
I agree

Well, it actually was considered cheating. While in later books most people think it's acceptable that she has 3 guys, when she cheated everyone was horrified. You could argue that she was allowed to have 3 boyfriends because that was what the culture allowed, but that is actually false. That was something the culture only allowed for the High Priestess, and Zoey wasn't a High Priestess yet. She was in training, but the High Priestess was still Neferet. Neferet being evil and no one wanting her as High Preiestess still doesn't count either, as Zoey wasn't High Priestess, so didn't have those priveleges. Also, if it WAS alright for Zoey to have 3 boyfriends, she wouldn't have felt the need to sneak around with them, or keep them all secret from each other. Just my opinion though :)
Alescia wrote: "I think Zoey is selfish. Not a whore, but just selfish. She treats all of her "boyfriends" badly. Its one thing to just date guys one after the other, but she dates them simultaneously. Neither boy..."
What makes it worse is that she never apologizes or takes responsibility for actions. And yet she still expects everyone to worship her, which they do. She is such a Mary Sue.

That really bothers me, too. After like a book of feeling sorry for herself, she just lets it go and never feels bad about cheating anymore. This series got way too ridiculous with how many guys were chasing after Zoey, even knowing that she was a habitual liar and cheater. You're right, she is the biggest Mary Sue I've ever seen, and Bella Swan was an obvious self-insert for Stephenie Meyer's little wet dream. I don't get how people can read this series and not see how awful it is. I look at it and see blatant racism, prejudice against gays, and one glaring stereotype after another, but others look at it and see one of the greatest series ever written. I get that people have different tastes, but I honestly just don't get it in this case.

I have to agree Samantha. After book 5, I couldn't take it. I couldn't finish it. The constant stereotypes in addition to Zoey's awful behavior made me want to throw the book across the room. I gave it a shot, but I was too annoyed by their behavior. The books portrayed Zoey as the heroine and this "good girl" and made her first boyfriend into this control freak (which i didn't see AT all) and then almost every boy that wasn't gay seemed to fall for her. I was just done.

Yeah, the Cast ladies turned Erik into this controlling douchebag so we would feel sorry for her and be okay with her moving on to Stark within like 24 hours. It was completely out of character for Erik, and they do the same thing with another character in the last two books. I wish I could say I was done with this atrocious series, but I have to finish. I've made it through eleven, with only one left. Can't stop now. The stereotypes get worse, too, if you can believe it. They don't even try to hide their racism anymore.

You’re just so fucking ignorant I can’t believe it. Of course women who get beaten by their husbands don’t deserve it. Of course gay people that feel like shit for being gay aren’t actually a piece of shit. Are you fucking stupid? That woman didn’t choose to get beaten; that guy didn’t choose to be gay. Zoey chose to be a cheating bitch. She chose to cheat on her boyfriends and break their hearts. But way to try and use people’s suffering to your advantage—it didn’t work.
