Hi guys :)I like the name Solid Gold Dancers... but I'll admit I had to google it to know who they were.
I was trying to think of some other names involving the word two, duo, dos, pair and this is what I came up with: Dancing Duettes
Dancing Duos
Two-Step Rockn Readers
Two-Step Queens
Two To Tango
Dos-I-Dos
"Two" Turn the Page
"Two" Turn the Pages
"Two" Can Dance
"Two" Dancin' Queens
"Two" Dance to the Music
Musical Pairs
Two of Hearts- I loved this song back in the 80's and I think the artist (Stacy Q) was a one hit wonder LOL)

OHHHHHH this was one of my favorites shows to watch and I watched it faithfully. I also watched American Bandstand LOLOLOL
American Bandstand is another one that I've never seen - although I have heard of it. I love the name Two to Tango. It's cute. I'm not great at naming things and it's currently rather late over here right now.
I'm excited for this to start.
Mary wrote: "Two to Tango is good. Wonder where Anna is?"
IDK....LOL Two to Tango is fine with me for a group name if that is what you all like. ☺ Those were just some names that I came up with to give us a few other choices.
Hello everyone...I would like to apologize for returning late. It has been a hectic last few weeks as my daughter-in-law gave birth to a little girl, then she hemorrhaged and ended up having a hysterectomy at age 18...after that they still couldn't stop her bleeding and flew her out to another hospital...Now both mommy and baby are doing fine. I hope to catch up with you all tonight.
Anna, how sad, but so very good to hear that both your daughter-in-law and the baby are doing well! Is she your first grandbaby?
oh Anna! I am so sad that happened, but I'm glad they're both doing better. I'll keep them in my prayers.
Thank you all. Brooklyn is actually our 10th grandchild. My husband calls her our 'miracle baby'.I remember both Solid Gold Dancers and American Bandstand but I like the Solid Gold Dancers best.
Week 1: ♬ "Roxanne" - The Police (1978)Possible links:
♩Author or character name Roxanne or Roxie.
♩One of the main characters is currently or used to work in the "Adult" industry.
♩Any book set in or published in the 70s.
♩One of the characters works for the Police or military or an active government agency.
*These are just some ideas to help you along. Feel free to come up with your own, but I will be checking to make sure it's a valid link to the song.
Good luck everyone!!

I think I'll have to give my book choice some thought.
I can be captain if no one else wants to. My votes for team names are:
1: Two To Tango
2: Solid Gold Dancers
I'm going to read:
heroine's boyfriend, also a main character is a Police Inspector for Scotland Yard.
Hi Ladies...sorry I couldn't respond last night but our internet kept going out everytime I got online.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Sorry to hear about your D-I-L and grandbaby Anna but glad everything is going well now. Fine by me if you want to be team captain Mary. I have never played a team game before so I will participate and watch what the captain's do this time around LOL
My votes for team name is:
Two to Tango
Book Choice: IDK yet LOL
OK well I will let CaroB know that I am Captain and we will call ourselves Two to Tango. That seems like the most popular.
Anna, you're the first person who's got a book set in the era the song was released in :-) Hope it's a good read for you this week.
Finished my week 1 book :) ♬ Week 1 Song: "Roxanne" by The Police (1978)
Book: Something About You by Julie James
Rating: ★★★★
Finished: 8th September, 2012
Review: Fun and flirty. I loved the humour especially the banter between the leads. The hero and heroine were likeable characters who had more going on than just the romantic relationship between the two. A great read for a single sitting - I devoured it in a matter of hours - and it left me with a smile on my face.
*SONG LINK - This book had a character who was in law enforcement (FBI officer).
Book: Brooklyn 1975Rating:3/5 Stars
Finished: 9/8/12
Review: This book was different than any I have read. I liked the plot and the characters but it seemed the their actions were repetitive. It was like the author ran out of things for the characters to do.
Dislike: Many, many typos that kept taking me away from the story.
Song Link: Set in the 70's.
Oh, I've read books like that, Anna. One book, by a popular author, that everyone was raving about. But every interaction between the the hero & heroine was the same - even pretty much the same dialogue!
I heard from Robin. She is having trouble with her Internet. Here is her update:I am readingfor my dance group which was published in the 70's Just in case the internet goes down before I can get over to my group to post. I am back in PT again for my leg and knee 3 days a week, so if I have to run by the library on Monday to make my post and check in I WILL ☺ and then again on Friday to check back in to find out what the next song/book will be ☺ Tell my group I am truly sorry and trying to get this fixed. Just been a little more hectic this week for me with PT starting again and a few other little unexpected household things "LIKE THE INTERNET" LOL
Anna, good review, I like the way you've set it out. Can I be a pain in the butt and ask that you put at least one part of your reviews in bold, just so it stands out a bit more for me when checking all the threads, please? Don't worry about changing this one, no need, it's just more for future reference. It'd be really helpful for me :-)
No Mary, Robin is still working on hers also. The way I understand it she will be posting her review on Monday. You still have plenty of time.
HI Ladies!!! Sorry I haven't been around much but I've had some major internet problems LOL. I think we may have some if it solved, so keep your fingers crossed for me. Besides the internet problems, things got a little hectic for me this past week with other "life" issues such as starting physical therapy again and other little household unexpectancy ☺ Don't ya just hate it when life gets in the way of GR and reading? I know I do LOL I'm hoping I am back now but if I disappear again more than likely it's internet problems and I will TRY to post a couple times a week from the library.
Thanks LK for posting my book for me. I was trying to hurry really fast with my typing hoping that my internet lasted long enough to get it sent. I see that it made to you LOL ☺

Review: I wasn't very impressed with this book. I was born in the 70's and remember Erma Bombeck when she wrote newspaper columns etc. She has never really been one of my favorites. I did find the book to be a little funny in places but nothing so impressive I would want to read another book by her. It was a little harder to read because some of the terminology that was used then is still in use today but with two totally different meanings. The one word that stands out in my mind is "wedgie". I think that was a type of shoe in the 70's but we all know what that means now LOL. Overall, I would rather read a short newspaper column by her instead of a whole book as I got kinda got bored and lost interest about half way through. Just wasn't my cuppa...this is the type of book my mother might enjoy more than me because she was actually a housewife/mother during the time frame this book was written.
