Ariana Carrillo (arianaa24) Hello, I've been away from Goodreads for almost a year and now that I'm back I noticed that you don't have the Blind Dates anymore, is that right?

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 4549 comments Speaking of the Blind Date challenge... I'd be willing to start it back up for November if you guys want me to moderate it again! Or if you think it's too late to find pairs by November we could start it back up for December :)

message 310: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I plan to restart the challenge sometime next year, but if you want, you can moderate as before. Just let me know when you are too busy.

message 311: by Linsey (new)

Linsey When is there going to be another Read Athon?

Trisha and Jaqualyn is planning to have one when the group reaches 10k, so probably in November.

message 318: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I might have removed the folder. I'll post the link here.

message 319: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Nope, the folders are still here. They are just hidden since we haven't had any new threads in the past months.

Thanks for letting me know. I can't wait for another readathon.

Lindsay♫SingerOfStories♫ (lindsaysingerofstories) | 183 comments Ok, I have a ballot for the suggestion/request box....

I know a lot of people like buddy reads and partner challenges and group reads--and I don't mind them! that's cool, I respect that!--but I'm big on my lone wolf personal challenges. Even if I don't finish them I don't mind having one or two monthly plus a quarterly or yearly or a ridiculously giant finish-whenever-you-can infinite challenge! I see a couple within the group but I feel like they're really outnumbered by the partner/group stuff. Am I just not seeing them? Or can I request to see more of them? Or heck, I'd help design/implement more if there is a need or interest!

But if I'm out of line here then just disregard this all and go about your day. I really like this group so I'm not trying to make waves, just throw out thoughts. Thanks. Ta-ta! =]

message 331: by LilyCat (new)

LilyCat (lilycat_reads) | 27 comments Do you think there could be a "pick a random book" challenge where you go to a library or book store and randomly pick a book off the shelf? Or maybe a "YA Bucket List" event where people can compile the most popular YA books (ex. the Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars) and we can all read/reread them and comment?

message 334: by Allison (new)

Allison Steadman Does the 20th Two-Month Reading Challenge: December & January require you to sign up? Or do you just post on that thread?

message 335: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments No need signing up. You just post there and I will add you to the participant list.

message 338: by ★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix), snowflakes and eyelashes (new)

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 4549 comments I believe some of our members are also members of "A Million More Pages," and that group has recently released an extremely fun challenge in which members become contestants on a "dating show" to match them with their next fictional boyfriend. I absolutely love this challenge and (HAVING RECEIVED PERMISSION FROM THE GAME'S CREATOR TO ADAPT THE GAME) started developing a YA version! Any chance our members might be interested in this, Gisbelle? I'd be happy to send you some samples of what I've been working on as well as the link to the current challenge in the other group. I would be more than happy to moderate this challenge, but I would need a separate folder for it as every participant is assigned their own thread. And there is no deadline for the challenge; anyone could join at any time and work it at their own pace. I'm still in the developing stages, but I wanted to see if it's even something people would be interested before I completed all the work on it. What do you think?

message 339: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Hi Nicole! Just send me the detail and we can talk about that :)

Here's the thread for Buddy Requests:
Want a Reading Buddy?

Hopefully that helps!

message 344: by Anny (new)

Anny (illcastsomespells) I'm sorry if this is a stupid question and maybe it's really easy to find the answer, but I've tried, so bear with me! Can we see whether there is an upcoming Read-a-thon? If not, is there? I'm going to have a lot of free time on my hands in March and I would like to join a 24h Read-a-thon. Or a longer one..

message 345: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Dear Justin,

What you have posted has nothing to do with questions nor suggestions for the group. It'd be better if you post in General Chat thread. Thanks.

We don't have any planned at the moment but when we do have one in the making, there will most likely be details surrounding it on the front page of the group. :)

David Tollen | 3 comments Hello. I'm an author and member of the group, and my book has an e-book discount promotion going on. Where can I post to tell the group (if anywhere)? I don't want to put it in the wrong thread.

message 350: by Linsey (new)

Linsey I am going to be reading the first two books of the breathing series by Rebecca Donovan. The copy I have is the first two books in one book. My question is will it count as two books on my 2016 Goodreads Reading challenge after I finish reading it?
