Tiffany Oiney_Reads_Another (oiney_reads_another) | 139 comments I'm sorry, but there is a lot to read in here, so I don't know if the question I'm going to ask has been asked already. Is there a way to go back into your own comment on a thread, like for the challenges, to add to it? Or do you just post again? Like the genre challenge, to just add to the list I've already posted?

it all depends how you are accessing the website.
if you are on your phone or similar, I don't think you can

if you are accessing on a computer, you should be able to say "edit comment" next to your comment and be able to make changes.

Is that what you were asking? If you can edit your own comment....or did I misunderstand...?

message 207: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Oiney_Reads_Another (oiney_reads_another) | 139 comments Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Figured it out last night. I usually work from my phone, but I figured it out in the laptop last night. Thanks for your help!

message 208: by Bonnie (new)

Bonnie Ferrante (bonnieferrante) How about comparing heroines? Pick two from different books and have readers choose who they like best and why.

Sounds good. I saw one group did that awhile ago, but it didn't work out. I'll see what I can do.

Kathy | 7669 comments I have a suggestion for the thread: 2013 Book Overview

I was going over my books and with some of them I keeping thinking that they had really good villians.

So I thought there could be a Best Villian catagory!

Just a suggestion that I wanted to throw out there!

I love the thread BTW! A really awesome idea! And I had fun doing it! :D

Frick Weber (MikeWeber) | 9 comments New author . . . wanted to ask where I would be best to post . . . free give away of book . . . looking to get some feedback and / or reviews . . . and happy to send out FREE PDFs of the book. EARTHLINGS
Earthlings
Figure it's kind of presumptuous of me to ask anyone to buy it just yet, and bad forum manners?

It's an all-ages adventure . . . so seemed like a good group to join.

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments @Frick, it looks like an interesting read.

message 218: by Sarah (new)

Sarah D | 29 comments @frick I'm so glad you have written an adventure book. I feel like a lot of authors have been playing it safe as I have read many books in 2013 that are similar to others. I'm trying personally too read more adventure books this year.

I wish u all the best with your book

message 221: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 310 comments It might be a little late to do it this year unless we leave out January but I had an idea on a reading challenge where we read a book for every beginning letter of each month? It was just a thought so it's no biggie if we don't do it but I think it might be fun and a real challenge too :)

message 222: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments We have been doing that in our two-month challenge already.

message 223: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 310 comments Oh where's that?

message 225: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi It would be very kind if you didn't spam the same message on multiple threads. I have pmed the staff about it.

message 226: by Trinity (new)

Trinity How about like a "Pick my next book" Someone posts a few books they want to read and then the next person picks a book for them then they post a few books and so on?

message 227: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments I like that idea and I think it would be useful to some people. I will work on it and after I read a few more chapters I will post a thread. Thanks!

message 228: by Trinity (new)

Trinity No biggie :)

message 231: by Morrigan (new)

Morrigan Hi there! I'm new to this book club, and also to forums. Would someone be willing to show me how this group works? I'm a little lost! Like, what book are we reading next? And when do we start?

message 232: by Mehsi (last edited Mar 16, 2014 02:26PM) (new)

Mehsi Hello Morrigan, I would suggest you read all the threads in the bulletin board, they are after all made to help newbies.

For challenges, well you will have to go for the individual boards, and since I have no clue which ones you want to do, you would be best to scroll throug the group and check them out. Be sure to read the What is this threads that most of them have. There are too many challenges going on to list them all here. :)

message 233: by Morrigan (new)

Morrigan thank you!!!

message 234: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi You're welcome. :) Also welcome to the group!

message 235: by s (new)

message 239: by Gina's (new)

Gina's (ginasgoodreads) Library books.

When I want to start a thread should the name of the topic be my name (for example: Gina's Library books) or should I just post the name of the book??

Hello Danielle!

We have a buddy read area where a lot of us read books together - pretty much daily! I'd love for you to join us !!

These are our currently planned buddy reads:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

You can see the book and day we plan to read it and then see if you can join us!

or you can go here and go to the last page and post books you are interested in reading soon or next month and you can see if anyone else is and maybe get a group to read with you!

it's here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

message 243: by Molly (new)

Molly (mollymeaker) I was wondering since summer is just around the corner if we could do something like a reading marathon or a readathon. A lot of us will have new time on our hands, with school being out and everything, that we could use to read.

My question is: If something like this already exists, could someone give me a link? I'd like to participate..

message 244: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Molly, we have done readathons in the past but don't have any scheduled at the moment. I Also hope to participate in a few this summer. They are so much fun!
