Holly smiled, "That's a first."

"I usually get isolated, antisocial, cold, that kind of stuff." Holly pulled back three arrows on her bow and shot them all at once, making all three hit a different target right in the center.
Diona grinned. "Well I have to be rude and show them that I'm not the average seven year old." She said " Fairies! Princesses! Barbies! Wooo!" She mimicked.
Madeline quietly walked down to the archery range. She hoped that it would divert her attention from the sickness in her cabin.
Holly laughed. "I get it. But being rude and maturely dignified are two easily confusable, but different things." She tilted her head at Diona. "Yet, your attitude makes for a unique personality."
"Have you gone sword-fighting yet?" Holly asked.
Diona laughed. "I dagger-fight. Swords are to heavy for me." She said, pulling a dagger from her pocket.
"Oops, sorry. I kinda forgot you were that young," Holly admitted.
Holly laughed. "It's no problem. You really act older than you are."
Holly looked over to Madeline, giving her a small smile in greeting. Her eyes narrowed at the center of the target as she pulled back and released her arrows. After her restless sleep, she'd decided that the kiss was no big deal and she shouldn't worry about nothing. Her thoughts relieved her, followed by a calming sigh.
Madeline blinked. She drew and arrow back and too aim. She let go and the arrow shot through the air, landing perfectly in the bulls-eye.
Holly's eyes widened, impressed. "You're either an Apollo kid or Hunter of Artemis," she remarked, letting her arrows hit the middle of different targets.
"Right. You're really good." Holly smiled, going forward to remove her arrows.
"Thanks," Madeline smiled, slightly embarassed. She pulled the arrow back, once more taking aim at the same target.
Holly went back to where she was and tried for a harder target. She pulled back and aimed, hitting the far most outer ring. She grimaced at the inaccuracy of the shot, deciding she needed more practice.
Holly nodded a thanks and raised the bow, aiming carefully. She pulled back slowly and let go, watching the arrow fly and hit the target not in the middle, but a whole lot closer. She smiled at Madeline, "Thanks for the advice. I'm Holly, Athena's kid."
((kk.))
Holly tried for the same target a few more times, soon hitting the middle.

"So, do you like camp so far, Diona?" Holly asked her, shooting another arrow.
Diona nodded. "Not as many people underestimate me here." She said. "Just the bedtimes sorta stink." She said, wrinkling her nose. "Everybodies pets are super cool! Have you met Jink? He's awesome!" She replied.
Holly shivered slightly, letting an arrow accidentally fly and hit the ground. "Sorry! My bad..." She blushed slightly, nodding to Diona. "Yeah, he's kinda freaked me out when I first met him," she admitted, somewhat embarrassed.
Diona laughed. "Well I freak most people out when I first meet them, tending I'm spying on them..." She said with an 'errr' look on her face. "Actually that's how I met everyone here." She said, head tilted.
Holly stifled a laugh. "How did you manage to spy on Hayley without that little ferret catching you?" She grinned, impressed.
Holly nodded, going to retrieve her grounded arrow. "Ahhh, I see. What was Hayley doing?" she asked curiously, plucking the arrow from the ground.
"Talking to Caspar," She sighed. "She seems to like him. I enjoy being around Hayley. She remind me of myself." She said with a sigh.
Holly chuckled softly. She hid her face with her hair from Diona as she walked back. She had paled at Caspar's name, eyes widening. "You make it sound like she's younger than you, and so believable that she is." As she pulled back on her arrow a fond thought went through her mind. I can't blame him. Who doesn't like me? His words echoed in her mind, making her smile absently.
Diona shrugged. "Maybe I've just been around longer, not physically." She said simply, letting another arrow go. "So from what I've heard, Caspar shot an instructor in the butt?" She asked.
Holly almost lost the arrow she had pulled back when the memory came flashing back. She laughed, highly amused, and nodded. "Yes. I was there actually and it was somewhat my fault he did it."
Diona laughed. "Then good job." She said. "I wish I were there." She said. "So do I have 'classes' or something during the school year?" She asked.
Holly shrugged. "Kinda, not really. It's more like just training, but we do have some free time in between."
Diona nodded. "Uh this might sound a bit crazy, but do we play any team sports? I looooove being on teams." She said.
Holly shook her head. "Not crazy at all. We actually have this really fun game called 'Capture the Flag'. Sound familiar?"
Diona thought about it. "Well in one of the books I read, they played it. Umm, two teams jail and two flags. You try not to get captured and you try to get the flag. But I'm assuming that people use swords in this version right?"
Holly shook her head again, grinning widely. "A lot better than that. You get to use all your magical items." She tilted her head to one, looking at Diona. "I don't know if Caspar has anything, but I know the Apollo kids have Sonic Arrows." She shuddered, closing her eyes. "Sonic arrows make a screaming noise as they are shot, and when they land, they unleash a blast, sounding like a power chord on an electric guitar, magnified through the world's largest speakers."
Diona gaped. "AWESOME!" She said. "I bet Caspar pelts people with grapes." She said. "Or makes them drowsy with wine. Or probably just rants about how one wine didn't get it in his wine catalog." She said, shrugging. "But for me.." She pondered it. "I think I would combine grapes and vines making some sorta trap." She said thoughtfully.
Holly laughed. "Oh, god. Are all Dionysus kids this funny?" She grinned, shooting another arrow. "That trap sounds smart." Her strategic mind wired a quick trap. "The vines could make a trap, while a wave of grapes could trip them. And after the grapes were stepped on, they would be all wet and slippery, making for a great battle asset."
Madeline aimed once more at the target that she had previously hit. She drew the arrow back, aimed, and let the arrow fly. The arrow cut through the air and sliced neatly through the first.
Holly grinned, not hiding her pride. "Doesn't everyone? Not to sound vain, but we are the children of battle strategy." She pulled back her bow, narrowing her eyes. "I have a lot of battle plans, scrolls," she said thoughtfully.
Diona laughed. "If anyone should be talking about vain the only people who out do me and Caspar are probably Aphrodites. Are they any good on a team? Carter doesn't seem very self-coincided." She replied.

Holly shrugged. "They're not that bad, some of them are actually...okay, at it." She chuckled. "I bet we would make a great team, what with your amazing archery and grape skills and my battle, sword, archery, and many other things skills."
