((xD I seriously can't stop laughing.))
Sh*t. In her attempt to not single out a particular person, Holly had succeeded in landing herself in the shark-tank of an unanswered, awkward question. "I meant it was, er, different without the three here." Very suave, Holly.

"Holly, you're usually not this scrambled." Diona replied, brow furrowing.

"I have my bad days," Holly said. "And it's not impossible for me to sound like an idiot sometimes." Like now, she thought flatly.

Diona rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm a kid. But I'm not a total idiot. What's up."

message 1308: by [deleted user] (new)

Holly shrugged nonchalantly, and the indifference she pulled off was admirable. "Nothing really, but I'm glad to see you finally got your ankle treated," she said, veering the conversation away from her.

Diona shrugged. "It was a matter of time." she dismissed the subject. "I don't give in easily, James." She replied. ((I really hope that's her last name))

message 1310: by [deleted user] (new)

((It is, lawl.))
Holly frowned; being addressed by her surname wasn't something she particularly favoured. "Right," she said, notching an arrow.

All traces of Diona's previous excitement were gone, as she picked up a dagger.

message 1312: by [deleted user] (new)

Holly's worry waned as all went silent, at least now she wouldn't have to confess. The relief was short-lived, however, because the more quiet time she had to think, the guiltier she would feel.

The dagger landed sharply a few rings away from the bullseye. Diona watched her in her perheprial vision, throwing another one. ((Gtg))

message 1314: by [deleted user] (new)

((Byebye. *peripheral))
Holly concentrated on her archery fiercely, blocking all other thoughts out. Thud. Thud. Thud. One after another the arrows hit the target, a cycle of impeccable skill.

It landed closer to the middle, Diona sighed. "If this has anything to do with my brother, you could tell me. I've hurt too much to feel pain anymore." She said, turning to her.

message 1316: by [deleted user] (new)

Holly said nothing, because as honest and trustworthy as she was known to be--Well that was just it. She had lost that. What good would it do to try and right the wrong with honesty? She decided it would do nothing. "Di, I'm fine. Why do you think something's up?" she asked, giving her a smile to hide the shame she felt.

Diona hacked a dagger at the ground, it came dangerously close to her own booted foot. "Because! You never act like this, and you're acting like it when I just told you my brother is coming home from a life-gambling mission! This isn't exactly normal! If htis has something to do with my brother, let me tell you: I've been in the real world, some thing that a lot of people haven't. I've seen things that have scarred me more then any weapon could, I can take it." She said, her eyes steely and her words were anger-fueled. Her tiny hands were clenched into white-knuckle fists at her sides and her jaw was set.

message 1318: by [deleted user] (new)

"I've been in the real world, too, Diona," Holly said quietly, a silent rage boiling inside her. It wasn't like Holly to loose her temper, especially with younger kids, but with everything that had happened, it was a little fair. "If you understood that your brother has been here for his entire life, he's trained for this, it's not a life-gambling mission. He's nineteen for Zeus' sake! Just because I don't bubble over with joy doesn't mean I don't care. You have no idea--" Holly stopped her quiet, infuriated speech, looking down at the Dionysus girl. "You have no idea," she repeated in a calmer tone. "Who I am. You've only known me for so long, you can't tell what's normal about me and what's not."

"I know you well enough to know that you're usually the only person who doesn't treat me like a kid." Diona spat back at her. "And that's from my perspective."

message 1320: by [deleted user] (new)

"When are you going to grow and stop using that ignorant little excuse?" Holly said, her voice rising with unspoken exasperation and disparity. "I don't treat you like a kid, and I'm not treating you like a kid right now. If you looked from my perspective..." Here, she trailed off with a bitter, metallic laugh. "I wouldn't want to wish that on anyone."

"Well if you're not going to tell me, then good for you. If anything makes you that nervous, it'll just be days, maybe hours before you confess." Diona said, totally dismissing her comments.

message 1322: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm stronger than that," Holly said, this time with a coldness that wasn't normal to her at all. "And you would know that if you knew me." If Diona wouldn't understand that she couldn't tell her, then she wouldn't understand why she had done what she had done. Letting go a last arrow (one that landed wildly off target) she turned and walked off. Whoever met up with the pissed off Holly next would need a whole lot of luck.

Diona muttered something that wasn't very ladylike under her breath, as a dagger flew from her hand onto a target. It was full of rage and curiosity.

Jo (Penname8) | 4150 comments Louisa fired an arrow right in the center, beside Diona.

message 1325: by [deleted user] (new)

Filex took his crossbow from his shoulder and put it into place, taking an arrow from his pack. He fit it into place and pulled back professionaly, firing. The arrow zoomed in a beautiful arc and hit the red bulls eye with a soft, bam.

Louisa saw her half-brother and let out a half-strangled, "Felix!"

"Felix! Oh, it's been terrible! My dad's casino's going down, and we're nearly bankrupt!" she blurted it out.

message 1332: by [deleted user] (new)

Felix came gave her a sad look and gave her a hug. "I'll be alright, Louisa. Have you tried talking to mom?"

message 1333: by Jo (new)

Jo (Penname8) | 4150 comments "You think I haven't? I didn't get permission to go to Olympus, and praying does no work..." she said muffedly. (sp?)

message 1334: by [deleted user] (new)

"Try an Iris Message!" Felix suggested. "I can ask dad to help out, I know we'll do whatever we can to help you."

"I think Iris hates me after I accidentally forgot to "O Goddess of the Rainbow" in an Iris message, because I get the worst reception with the best rainbows!" she spat.

((D: Please?))

"Oh, well what about my father? Can we help?"

message 1338: by Jo (new)

Jo (Penname8) | 4150 comments "Can you?" she asked faintly. Anytime now her father would be evicted or something.

message 1339: by [deleted user] (new)

Filex nodded. "Of course! I'll message him right now!"

((I. M.))

Jo (Penname8) | 4150 comments Louisa took out her only drachma and and said, "Any water fountains?"

"I'n the Iming center, I'm sure." Felix replied, his bros pressed together.

Isobel *The Goddess of Annoyance* (goddess_of_annoyance) | 13860 comments Giovanna strode up to the hill she always used. She used her longbow as a walking-stick until she reached the small hill, about two hundred yards from the target. She placed the end of her longbow I'n the ground and fingered the gold-feathered arrows I'n her quiver,

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Ahava was setting up in front if the closest target to Giovanna. She strung her bow carefully, not wanting to harm. This bow had survived centuries of being used, and she wanted to make sure it stayed for centuries more.

Isobel *The Goddess of Annoyance* (goddess_of_annoyance) | 13860 comments Giovanna glanced at Ahava out of the corner of her eye as SH reste her hand on top of the large longbow.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Ahava felt someone's eyes on her, and turned suddenly. She saw a woman with dark colored hair that was very short and gelled upward. "Hello."

Isobel *The Goddess of Annoyance* (goddess_of_annoyance) | 13860 comments Giovanna's eyes flitted back to Ahava, dark and rimmed with black. She tilted the corner of her lips up into a quick smile before pulling an arrow out of her quiver.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Ahava looked closer at him, and fear struck her. "Interesting makeup," she retorted, narrowing her eyes at the heavy eyeliner. It reminded her of a racoon.

Isobel *The Goddess of Annoyance* (goddess_of_annoyance) | 13860 comments "Thanks," she murmured with a sarcastic lilt to her vice as she pulle back the arrow.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Ahava detected the sarcasm right away, and stiffled a sigh. This girl was snarky, and not friendly like she'd hoped. Why can't people be nice? She thought miserably, pulling back her own bow. "Where'd you get it?"

Isobel *The Goddess of Annoyance* (goddess_of_annoyance) | 13860 comments "Italy," she mused as she pulled back the bowstring.
