Avery glanced at Jasmine again and noticed her bandages. "What happened there?" she asked in a friendly tone.

"I mishap at the battle arena. I got cut by a few daggers," Jasmine explained quietly, refusing to look at the girl despite her welcoming tone. She couldn't forget who's daughter she was, it would be foolish to do so.
((d'aww, blame Evander. xD))
"Me, I was being clumsy," Jasmine said, a little too readily. She had been expecting the question, of course.

((Avery has a right to go hit him on the back of the head now.))Avery nodded, though she didn't believe the girl. "Sounds painful."
((I would laugh so hard if she did that. So hard.))
"I'm lucky, it could've been much worse," Jasmine said, a bit shakily. She was pale, too, probably from losing blood in a place so close to her face. Could've slit my throat open.

((She will. She'll find him and go 'smack' if Jazzy tells her.))Avery raised her eyebrows. "Are you sure it was just you?"
((I ~love~ you.))
"Well, I never said that," Jasmine pointed out quietly, her face beginning to drain of what little colour it had left.
"Well, I never said that," Jasmine pointed out quietly, her face beginning to drain of what little colour it had left.
(( ~love~ you too, Vanny.))Avery smirked. "You said you were being a klutz and hurt yourself. Did you really?"
"That's not exactly what I said," Jasmine persisted, rather petulantly.
Avery sighed in exhasperation. Her green eyes flashed once, but she quickly calmed her sudden anger. "Just answer my question, please," she said quietly.
Jasmine couldn't miss the anger that she saw, and it was far too familiar. It took a fair amount her self-control not to flinch away. "Sort of. I was battling with Evander, and the gods know a daughter of Demeter has no place in battle," she added bitterly, casually letting Evander's name slip into her explanation. "And I was at a position where if I moved I'd get my throat slit open or I would get my hand sliced off," she explained, fumbling with her words. "And I moved, so naturally, I got cut."
Avery stiffened as Jasmine mentioned her douche of a brother. "Let me get this clear," she said slowly, in a cold monotone. "You were fighting with Evander and he put you in a position where no matter which way you moved, you would get hurt? Is that all he did?"
"We were battling, it's the point to get someone in a weak position," Jasmine said, a trace of defensiveness in her voice. Not for Evander, but for herself, not wanting to be counted as a whiny little coward. "And then, I don't really know why, but...he did that fear-power you all have, the children of Phobos. It felt like was burning, then I could almost feel the smoke in my lungs, the feeling of being strangled by my own vines...I couldn't take it, so I moved." As she spoke her voice got quieter, recalling the horrifying event.
Avery closed her eyes tightly. Evander wouldn't stop, she knew him that well. Someone needed to teach him a lesson, and since everyone else at camp was too afraid of him it would have to be someone from their own cabin. "Yes, that sounds like something Evander would do," she said as she angrily shot another arrow.
Really? Jasmine was tempted to ask, non-sarcastically. Was he really cruel enough to scare her for no reason? It made her shiver to think someone could really be that merciless. She cleared her throat, taking another arrow and notching it in her bow. Some colour had returned to her face, but loss of blood stil kept it quite pale.
((*walks up to Evander* Hey, bro. I wanted to ask you something. "Hmm?" (<-- or whatever his douchey response shall be) *whams with random metal item* Bai! *skips away*))Avery didn't even notice that the arrow landed dead center. "He's a douche that way," she continued, just as angrily. "He doesn't give a damn about other people."
((lmaolmaolmaolmaolmaaaaaao.))
"I've noticed," Jasmine said, her shaky voice going back to it's cool tone. She shot an arrow, and it landed on top of the first one she'd let go.

((I will so do that. For Jasmine and- if she runs into Holly- for Holly too. EHE.))Avery nodded. "That's why someone ((coughcoughher)) needs to smack some sense into that boy."
((I feel so much ~love~ for you.))
"I'd say to smack him senseless, but if he's got none then how would you do that?" Jasmine mused quietly, lips quirking up a smirk.

((~love~))Avery chuckled and nodded in agreement. "That's what our surprise-attack weapons are for."
((I don't know why, but 'surprise-attack' brought the song 'Like a G6' to my head. o.O))
Jasmine almost smiled, but her muscles weren't accustomed to that kind of movement, so she settled with an amused smirk. "That's convenient."

((hehehe.))Avery nodded. "Especially in this case. Just sneak up behind him and..." she mimed whacking his head with the bow, though she knew she'd have a much heavier weapon at that time.
Jasmine let out a laugh, a melodious sound, and was surprised with herself. How long has it been since I laughed? The thought was sad, but true.
Avery grinned and aimed another arrow. She didn't respond; she waited for the girl to get her mood-swings in check.
Jasmine cleared her throat, feeling a little embarrassed, and notched another arrow. The thought was amusing, but she didn't actually believe Avery would do it. Boy, was she in for a shocker.
((Yes, yes she is. Soon as Whim gets on... *WHAM*))Avery, meanwhile, was planning exactly where to find Evander and what weapon best to hit him with. A frying pan would hurt, but it wouldn't succeed all of her points. A sword would make him end up in the infirmary, so she couldn't be responsible for that.
((LOL. And may a recommend the old-fashioned wham-by-the-hand? :3))
Jasmine finished off the last of her arrows, looking to Avery with a small, demure smile. "Well, Avery, once I retrieve my arrows I'll be off. It was fun talking to you, goodbye." With a polite wave, she ambled off.

Avery waved, a small smile on her face as she cleaned up her own arrows. ((Time to go to home cabin and argue with Devon or go talk with Holllllly.))
Bridget glanced at Eric, raised her eyebrows and found a target. She unslung the quiver from her shoulder and pulled out her rainbow-feather-tipped arrows.
Eric stopped shooting when vibrant colors caught his eye. He looked in the direction of them, and saw a younger girl shooting arrows. He smiled at her, "hullo."
"Ah. More people should do that. That's a really good idea," he said, taking his bow, and shooting. The arrow hit the target easily.
Bridget shrugged. She pulled her bow up, arrow already notched, aimed it and released the string. It flew through the air with a whistling noise and landed on the target, two rounds away from the center.
"See? Well, it was close," Eric said with a friendly smile. "Watch, I bet I won't make this one!" He notched the arrow, and aimed for the center. The arrow landed on the last circle.
"Ok," Eric said. He waited for her to come over before adding. "I'm Eric by the way. Thanks for helping." He smiled at her.
Bridget smiled as she stood behind him. "Bridget." She glanced at him. "Okay, act as if you were going to shoot but don't shoot."
Bridget glanced at him. "Legs a little farther apart- shoulder-width." She reached out, covered his hand and aimed the bow down a little bit more. She fixed the arrow's position and stepped back in satisfaction. "Try now."
Eric nodded, and let the arrow go. It landed on the center ring. He turned to Bridget with a victorious smile. "Thanks. You're a good teacher."
"Sure it is," he said, rolling his eyes. "I don't think that good teaching is luck though," he commented, giving her a smile.
