Chaumelle chuckled. "Sure she does. She has reasons an excuses for everything, I'm sure you've noticed."

((what now?))Chaumelle shot the arrow with a little more force than needed; it splintered on contact with the target,

((herm.......))Chaumelle shot another, getting her anger out on the arrows rather than the bow itself.

"You are applying far too much force on your release, Chaumelle," Eleanor muttered, though she knew it was pointless.
Chaumelle nodded. "I know." She released another, slightly softer this time, and smirked with satisfaction as it embedded itself in the target,

A waste of perfectly good arrows, too, Eleanor added silently as she watched Chaumelle practice.
Chaumelle shot another, even lighter this time, and watched as it slid in place next to the two splintered arrows. She wiped sweat off her brow and grabbed her water again.

Chaumelle gripped Rosa's bow tightly, angrily, almost. She fingered the dove feathers on the bow with interest, wondering why her sister had picked dove for the bow and arrows.

Eleanor sighed, placing her bow and quiver on the ground beside her, having no modivatiom to practice b
Chaumelle shot one more, one last arrow. She pulled the string back tightly and released it harshly, splintering it on top of the first splintered one. She then took a seat, slinging Rosa's bow over her shoulder and grabbing her water.

Eleanor's eyebrows raised, though she said nothing more on the topic. She instead glanced down at her own bow in wonder.

Chaumelle nodded and stood, unslinging the quiver from around her back and pulling the arrows out of the target.

Chaumelle, now only with the last three splintered arrows, narrowed her eyes as she tucked them back in the quiver. From the top, nothing was seemingly wrong with them.

Eleanor pried the split arrow from the target gently. She fingered the wood for a moment before walking back.
Chaumelle tucked the last arrow in the quiver and took her seat again. "I'm assuming Rosa's leaving had something to do with that path you take?"

Chaumelle sighed and leaned back. "You have every right to share it," Se said slowly. "To make sure everyone knows the real truth."

"Me, personally?" Chaumelle scoffed. "Nothing, but I expected as much. The whole cabin? I think she said something along the lines of getting thrown out for falling in love."

"And that is the truth," Eleanor replied. "She willing accepted the presence of a male, therefore angering Lady Artemis."

Eleanor glared. "Do not test me, Chaumelle. She did more than accept his presence," she spat out 'him' as though it were a horrid disease.
((ah, there's the anger I was looking for.))Chaumelle's eyes widened at the girl's sudden anger. "What did she do that was awful enough to get her thrown out?"

Eleanor scowled, a look of disgust in her her eyes. "Never speak of this," she hissed before starting back to her cabin.
Avery sauntered up, a playful smirk on her face as she pulled a bow off of her shoulder and notched an arrow in it.
Jasmine flexed her neatly bandaged wrist apprehensively, glancing at the bow in her other hand. She took a bow from her quiver, pausing slightly when she spotted Avery from the corner of her eye. She didn't say anything, nor did she acknowledge the girl in any way, but she touched the bandage on her jaw with a shiver. It'd do me best to keep away from them.
Avery glanced at Jasmine out of the corner of her eye, smirked and shot her arrow. It landed with a thump in the target, not too far from the center.
Jasmine shot her arrow with about as much accuracy that she had with dagger-throwing, a deadly one at that. It hit the center, embedding it's celestial bronze tip deeply inside.
