Cullen strode onto the grassy field, full quiver strapped across his back and bow in hand. He whistled a merry tune, though his dejected expression and sagging shoulders told otherwise. I'm going to get slapped, and my best friends ran away from me, lovely.
Jason had volunteered to instruct the archers before the game, and his thoughts were whirling with happiness. Triplets! He couldn't get over the idea of himself being a dad; and Dionysus a grandfather. He chuckled to himself, pure joy, but quickly sobered up when he spotted Cullen, shoulders sagging, walking towards the target range. "Hey, Cullen," Jason said, a relaxed smile breaking out on his face. "I'm instructing today. What have you got for me?"
"That's pretty awesome," Cullen decided, though he wasn't all that into it. "I've been getting...somewhat better, but not really much at all. Archery is not my thing, neither are girls." He said 'girls' as if they were some otherworldly, foreign thing.
"Ah, my boy," Jason said, mocking his father unconsciously and putting down his weapon. "I wasn't really looking forward to instructing, anyway. C'mon." He sat down in the shade of a nearby beech tree and patted the cool grass next to him. "Spill to Jason."
Cullen plopped down next to him, leaning against the trunk of the tree with sigh. "You remember Iviana, right?" he asked, flinching internally at the way he said her full name. Gods, what's happening to me?
"Well, I kind of walked in on her when she was singing," Cullen began uneasily as he remembered the awful encounter. "A song." No duh. "About me. Of course, being son of Hermes, I had the best stealth and managed to get caught before I ran away. Not."

Henry nodded and turned his head, concentrating on the target. "GO!" he shouted and let the arrow fly. He quickly reloaded and shot again, trying to break his record of five targets in 20 seconds.

"Ahh," Jason said, crossing a long leg over the other, pursing his lips in thought. "Well. What happened?"

"She totally freaked out when she saw me and ran away," Cullen continued, voice faltering when he said 'run away'. "How could my best friend run away from me?"
"Cullen," Jason said with an amused chuckle. "Clearly she doesn't just want to be your best fried. Now, rephrase that as: How could a girl who had feelings for me run away from me? and you'll understand her predicament a little better. She's probably embarassed and ashamed of herself; she doesn't think you like her back." He paused, searching Cullen's eyes. "...Do you?"
((...fried?....I am laughing so hard...I shouldn't find that so amusing.))
"Well--I--" Cullen struggled, wincing at how lame he probably sounded. Idiot. Idiot. Idiot. How in Hades did Iviana manage to deal with me, let alone like me? "I don't...really know." He frowned, confusion clear in his eyes.

((LAWLZ IT'S OK I GIGGLED TOOOOOOOOO :D))
"That's fine," Jason said with an understanding nod. "But... you should probably get yourself sorted out. Find out what you're feeling, then go talk to this Iviana. She's probably distraught."

((XD I guess 'cos they were being all serious and then fried....Lmao, I'm so weird.))
Cullen sighed, but nodded all the same. "Thanks, Jason. Oh, and, um, I kind of have another girl that wants to slap me...any tips...?" He grinned wryly, the mischievous grin that was so familiar to all.

"Ladies' Man?" Cullen scoffed, snorting at the thought. "I'd say that was the biggest exaggeration ever, I'm a fail when it comes to girls. But I indirectly called her a wimp and now she's going to slap me. And I quote: 'So. Freaking. Hard.'"
"Well. I mean, I don't really know... apologize if you're that afraid of an itty bitty wittle slap. But..." Jason blew air through his lips, quirking the corner of his mouth exaggeratedly. "You could tell her that slapping someone for calling them a wimp is immature." He grinned mischeviously.
"No, I can't. I really can't. Me telling someone they're immature is like trying to tell an Athena kid that they're stupid." Cullen chuckled at the irony of his comparison. "And whaddya know, the girl who wants to slap me is an Athena. The irony."
"Well. Then apologize, I guess," Jason said, chuckling at the thought of Cullen being b*tch-slapped.
((Lolz, b*tch-slapped.))
"I think I'm going to avoid her until she finds me," Cullen mused aloud. But she's a Hufflepuff...damn finders. "And if she does, I'll try something Cullen-like and hope I squirm my way out of it."

"Little worm," Jason said with a playful shove, grinning. "Oh yes. May I be the one to break the news that... I am now a father." He beamed at Cullen and looked strangely boyish with the glee that lit up his face.
"Really?" Cullen's grinned broaded at the news. "Congrats on the new baby, then," he said.
"Babies," Jason said, his grin widening even more, as if it were possible. "Triplets," he breathed out, eyes incredibly bright.
Lucy wanted to shoot. She fired into the target.
"No way!" Cullen exclaimed in disbelief. "Triplets? That must've been a huge surprise," he mused to himself.
"That's totally awesome, then," Cullen said, reaching over to pick up the bow he'd dropped. "Well, I think we should go shoot some arrows and...stuff."
"Do you need an instructor?" Jason asked, shadowing his face with a hand as he peered at Cullen lazily.
THe arrow missed and almost hit a camper. She groaned, she was terrible.

Phillip's swing sang as he whipped it around, the stone in its pouch propelled into the target. He quickly reloaded, this time with four pebbles, then whirled and shot again. All hit the target, and one even got a bull's-eye. "Tricky," Phillip commented, watching his stones soar through the air.

"Pfft. Nope, I've been here long enough to be OK at it," Cullen said in a mockingly scoffing tone. "I'm just not the best of shots, I do better with a dagger."

"Your father's man, you are," Jason said approvingly as he stood up, clapping Cullen on the shoulder. "Good luck, Cullen."

Twyla walked in with her bow and her arrows. She took off a rubber band from her wrist and used it to put her hair in a ponytail. Walking over to a target Twyla mused to herself how she was going to kill someone with her bad skills.
Cassidy walked down to the range, cracking her fingers out of habit. Planner in hand (when did she not have some sort of book in her hand?), she stopped midway, as faint smile on her face as she saw a familiar shape. Shrugging, she continuted on.
Cullen nodded to Jason half-heartedly, notching an arrow in his bow as he got into position. Steady, steady... He pulled back slowly on the bow, then released. It flew toward the target, hitting the outer ring, as always. "Oh well." He hadn't even taken notice of Cassidy.

"Yeah, well, what do y--" Cullen stopped in mid-sentence as he turned and recognized the face of Cassidy. "Er, hi."

"I'm not gonna slap you with my hand," Cassidy snorted. "Nor am I gonna slap you with an empty bottle, since I don't have one."

Cullen winced internally, hoping she'd forgotton all about it. Gods, where's a pegasi when you need him? He glanced up at the sky, as if expecting Steele to fly down and save him. "Well, hello to you, too."

Henry nodded and put down his bow and quiver. He picked up one of the camp's leather pouches.
"Anyways. There's something I wanna show you since you're pretty much the only one who will get it," Cassidy replied, flipping to a page in her little book.
