The immortal Ares is a horseman, as long as his seal stays intact he will remain Ares and not turn into War. We really won't like him if he turns into War. So preventing the horsemen's seals from breaking will stop them from turning evil and hold back the apocalypse. So yeah it's pretty important.
This is a really good addition to the Demonica world. There are Angels, hell hounds and some of our favourite Demonica characters. It did take me a couple of chapters to get into the story, but once there it stormed along. Already have the next book downloaded.

Glad you liked it Caroline, I did too, but decided to stop reading them till I've read all the Demonica books. I didn't realise they were a spinoff till it was too late :)

And been there done that with the hubby impatiently waiting, LOL.

Sandra you reminded me that we have another Lupi book due out this year yet, yay! I hope you enjoy Cullen, he's a fun sexy character.
Caroline I'm also anxious to see what you think about the Belador series, I have the 2nd book, not the first from the great Borders hoarding frenzy. Still need to fill a few gaps. I've read most of Kenyon's dark hunter series and curious how this one compares.

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'magic'.
[Your updated BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D

Lis, I let this series fall way behind, but I've got all the books, incl preorder of the one coming soon. And sexy Cullen is living up to his persona. Grandmother just got back from China, Cynna just got the weird tat from Jiri on her hand and everything is about to go down whilst looking for the Codex :)

It was quite some time since I'd read the previous book but that didn't matter as Ms Wilks kindly gave a summary of the previous book at the beginning of this one. I was very appreciative :)
So magic appears to be suddenly leaking into our world at an alarming rate and weird things are happening, demons appearing and unexpected shifting of wolves in the middle of choral performances leading to all the werewolf heirs, including Rule, being targeted by demons.
She who cannot be named is obviously trying to take out the wolf clans by targeting the heirs, so she can get her hands on the Codex of Magical Stuff, which is presumed to have appeared with the influx of magic.
Lily Yu, FBI and the Chosen of Rule is part of the task force to solve the magic & demon problem and she recruits Cynna to assist. Cullen has also appeared and together they all try to find out who is summoning the demons, then defeat the summoner, at the same time trying not to battle the Leiddolf clan, which somehow Rule is now the heir to as well.
Really looking forward to the next book, especially with the 2 surprises at the end (view spoiler) .["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Comments:
The book had good promise and characters I started to like. Jolie Wilkins has a store in LA where she does readings and sees peoples futures. She's not very confident in herself, but she's happy and her best friend works for her. Then a warlocks comes in for a reading. Jolie doesn't even believe in all that stuff, but she ends up bring pulled into that world and believing a lot more because she is extremely powerful. The book is called a "paranormal romance," but I don't think it lived up to the romance part. I felt a little cheated that there wasn't any strong love until, maybe, the end. You have to read the next book to know. Sometimes series that start like this never get any better and I'm sorry to have started them. But then others pick up in the second or third book and I'm really glad I stuck with it. So I will research this series a bit more tomorrow and see if it's worth getting the next book!!

Wow! I very much enjoyed this book! I was was reluctant when I saw this weeks shelf was Psychic. I haven't read many books that could be classified as such and I really didn't know what to expect.
Abby Cooper is a psychic that inadvertently gets involved in a murder case. She meets her love interest, Dutch Rivers, on a blind date. Coincidentally, he ends up being a cop and they set out to solve a murder case together.
The author does a great job with her writing. It's light-hearted, but interesting. The characters are very likable and believable. The book was an easy and enjoyable read. I can't wait to read book two in the series!

Jennifer I know what you mean about psychics. I was really surprised looking through the shelf how many I'd already read. I suppose because I don't have a psychic shelf myself I don't think of books that way. Glad you enjoyed it, I know Steph usually does as well, looks like I should try and find some Abby books.

***kiss, kiss***

From what I can tell, it looks more like a Sookie book (can't decide who it's going to be) and not a Magic Bites type. I like both series, but I like the Magic books better! I think I'll continue the series though for as long a my library has it!

It was great playing with all you fabulous ladies, hope to see you all in Round 6 and I'd be very happy if Mr R chucked us together again ;DDDDD

I think I'm going to save Samurai Game for the next round of bingo because I know it will be a fast read.

After all, we need to make connections with others, not just read books. Otherwise we wouldn't be here on GR wanting to talk books or about our other obsessions. LOL
