her cats and The Grinch.

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments 'Who is the green Grinch?'
the Cat in the Hat asked Sam,
eating eggs and ham.

M | 11617 comments She was a lusty,
buxom wench who craved a Hulk
but married a Grinch.

message 4854: by [deleted user] (new)

She closed her eyes when
she said "I do". She thought it
would remove the curse.

message 4855: by Guy (last edited Nov 30, 2013 11:27PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lost in her marriage
She forgot about green eggs
to enjoin breakfast.

message 4856: by [deleted user] (new)

An omelette was
served on a platter, folded
around her worn heart.

message 4857: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments She murmured as her
soul departed, “Nothing should
be served half-hearted!”

message 4858: by [deleted user] (new)

Her soul got confused,
while she watched him dine, did not
know which way was up.

message 4859: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments He was loud, messy,
and rude, an utter pig when
it came to soul food!

message 4860: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments His deep fried chicken,
was so finger licking good.
He didn't care who watched.

message 4861: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments “This steak finger,” he
pointed, pale, “has a gold ring
and a lacquered nail.”

message 4862: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments He choke as he spoke,
and all I could do was stare.
"I know that ring there."

message 4863: by Ryan (last edited Dec 04, 2013 12:55PM) (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments A whisper rose up
from her lettuce, "It's my own,
my love! My precious!"

message 4864: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments “My little cabbage,
lettuce,” he pled, “before time
and chance forget us.”

message 4865: by [deleted user] (new)

She was meant to be
a coleslaw, still, he searched for
her in middle earth.

message 4866: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Its worth at auction:
Nancy Drew’s old typewriter’s
final mystery.

message 4867: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments A hefty price fetched,
for her oddest of stories.
Mystery Unsolved.

message 4868: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments By her mother's grave
Nancy wept. Her Keene mind sought
the ghostwriter's plot.

message 4869: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments But, she found not...
As free, the criminal got
with the pixie knot.

message 4870: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments A school boy's journey
through the facsimile glass
has stolen my breath.

message 4871: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments (Great one, Ryan!)

Abjectly he craved
Emily, or even a
blunt facsimile.

message 4872: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Thanks, M.

Emily! Fancy seeing you here :)

message 4873: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments No. #6259 is one of those that crosses the line from mere verse to art. It’s one sentence. Each line neatly contains an aspect of the thought. There’s an intriguing ambiguity to it that invites the reader to lose himself in it. And the writing, in and of itself, is beautiful.

message 4874: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Such nice comments thank you, M.

It was inspired by the fantastic story Mandy submitted this week - 'When Frank Met Al' - so I can't take all the credit.

message 4875: by [deleted user] (new)

It's nice to see you again, Emily :P

message 4876: by Jim (new)

Jim Agustin (jim_pascual_agustin) | 625 comments Edges of pebbles

turning forever away
until they come back.

message 4880: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Pebbles found a washed-
up clam and hurled the stinking
mollusk at Bamm-Bamm.

message 4881: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments Bamm-Bamm went to bed,
after the clam hit his head...
later was found dead

message 4882: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Such are life’s basses

message 4892: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments By the moon's wan light
a dark beast roamed. Bam asked Fred,
"When Wil ma come home?"

Sorry! Best I could do to link The Flintstones to Dracula. Terrible :)

M | 11617 comments Trudging home at night,
