Haiku
How he howled when shesank her teeth in the monster
that arose beneath.
Finding the zipper
of her dress, he soon grazed the
curly watercress.
She left his mounting
hunger sated, but her charms
were overrated.
LOL! RotFL! M, what a excellent turn at the end! Is this even a genre, erotica Haiku? LoL! Great start to my day. :-)
Confusion came forth as

Thanks, M, it took every ounce of my courage to write it :)
A goblet broken, its sherry spilled in the slant
of a stray moonbeam;
a quick word spoken,
the piano stilled, then a
blood-curdling scream.

Leslie, great first effort! And thanks for getting Haiku rolling again. (And no need to apologize here in WSS for creating some verbiage!)
M, lol!
Jim, silliness! You have joined us in silly-ville!? Oh frabjous day, callooh, callay. Very funny. RotFL!

Hello Ryan! We were just talking about you behind your back, wondering how fatherhood was treating you and missing your posts!Nice return!

Hello Guy. Only saying good things I hope?! Fatherhood is a wonderful, time-consuming thing, thanks. I love it but would pay good money for a sleep-in! I've missed you pirates a lot though and am blown away by the great writing I've missed in my absence. I think I'm a bit out of practice, but thanks for the welcome...it's nice to be back aboard :)

Hello, Leslie! I don't think we've met yet...I'm really enjoying your haiku. Very nicely written.Guy, love it! ;)
Hi Ryan :) nice to meet you and thank you, I'm still learning though, in order not to be thrown out of the ship :D
Leslie, only two things you could do would get you expunged from the ship: stepping on one of M's mice, and getting caught stealing Al's coffee covered espresso beans. The singer's hi Cs
dallied with cooling zephyrs
and the ocean's breeze.
Thanks for the heads up, but how many mice do I have to watch out for? (aside from the one who blatantly offered a honeycomb. I refused it because it has a funny smell).
I've been searching for beans to munch. I would have taken it without knowing it's Al's. I suspect the honeycomb has something to do with the impairment of my sense of smell.
Dark clouds loom,
threatening a steady stream
of thoughts and imagination.

These are wonderful! I’m still laughing at Ryan’s #4166. At least the speaker in that haiku had a few thoughts to collect. That puts him ahead of me.This doesn’t follow at all, and I apologize for that. I thought of it on the way home from the camper this afternoon.
The healthcare problem
has gotten worse, I see with
utmost clarity.
I advertised for
a jiggle-free nurse, but now
they’re a rarity.
Okay, here’s one that follows:My thoughts were the last
notes the small orchestra played
before the ship sank.
Great Leslie, M, Ryan and Kat. A pleasure to read before I crash for the night.I was writing this one to Kat's but kept getting interrupted. So, out of sequence! Ah well.
Imagination
can spark Scylla and chaos
and ideas too.
Thank you, Kat and Guy!To be a Scylla
snack or be drowned? Alas, there
was no way between!
The Whirlpool made an
awful sound. His crew were lost
but their clothes were clean.
Funny, M :) Thanks Guy. You are all amazing, I am a fan :)
We're back to being
lost. Is there a

I can hear the Whirlpool.
The awful sound summons us
to the right direction.
*Can't move on with the Whirlpool
